Department of Military Affairs The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) provides essential, effective, and responsive military and emergency management capability for the citizens of our state and nation. DMA includes Joint Force Headquarters-Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Army and Air National Guard, and the Wisconsin Division of Emergency Management.

There are multiple ways to work for the State of Wisconsin's Department of Military Affairs. There are State Civil Service jobs as well as Federal Civil Service and Federal Military employment. The majority of our federal career opportunities require military membership in either the Air or Army National Guard.
