Re-defining, Re-branding and Un-trapping Hidden Talent and Entrepreneurship Opportunities Means . . .

MILWAUKEE - Separate and Unequal actions by elected/appointed/hired/volunteer/donor for hire representation say one thing but do another.

Keeping in stride with the necessity of INCLUSION, JUSTICE FOR ALL and eradicating Enduring Concentrated Poverty; Milwaukee Professionals Association - All Hands on Deck Initiative continues to Call for NEW and NEEDED engagement at the neighborhood level to capture a "weath" of economic and sustainable benefits.

Ready and Willing
Engagement of "hidden talent" that includes "vetted businesses needing channel development" and financial opportunities that are shared in an automatic and deliberate "PIPELINE" fashion can create an empowerment economy never seen in Milwaukee.

Separate and UNEQUAL
This is not rock science or something requiring a Medium to see and understand.
As a matter of fact, it IS the way of embracement and growth for all but Milwaukeeans of Color and Work-Challenged (un-, under-employed; un-, under-degreed and certificated; un-, under-financed neighborhood-level business; disabled; and re-entry - especially those returning from WAR, INCARCERATION, BOOMERANG EMPLOYMENT, BOOMERANG RETIREMENT and DEGREED students without employment) at the neighborhood level. Since this EXCLUSION, by-design, behavior exist and has caused decades/generations of poverty and many times hopelessness, it must be identified, reviewed, changed. This is a reason for you to sign our SIGN-ON PETITION.

Below are two examples of how two "public funded" leaders in Milwaukee, Mayor Tom Barrett and Chancellor Michael Lovell are fine with resource sharing, pipelining and channel development of Caucasians but turn a deaf ear on INCLUSION of African American, the largest racial group in Milwaukee - 39.2%. The second highest racial group - 37.0% Caucasian. The data is per 2010 census - Wikipedia.

LISTEN to Mayor Barrett in Washington, DC as the Keynote Speaker (2008) for the Federal Reserve regarding the 2008 Federal Reserve and Brookings Institution case study report that named Milwaukee as one of the 16 cities that was identified as an Enduring Concentrated Poverty city. Pay close attention to what he allocated growth to and what his administration has done or will be doing.

Four years later, 2012, we are worse - just look at Dr. Marc Levine, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, recent study that reported in the January 12, 2012, Journal Sentinel article by John Schmid regarding the head of household capacity for African American males.

When you listen to the introduction of Mayor Barrett by Jememiah Boyle - Federal Reserve, Chicago; he speaks of Deloris Sims, Legacy Bank (bank closed), transportation (fought with Walker - nothing that takes the people to jobs), Milwaukee 7 (provided for paid members of the group), workforce development and business development FOR Greater Milwaukee, MMAC and Milwaukee 7. The problem with the "quote attributed by Boyle for Barrett, they are all negatives for African American, other People of Color and the Work Challenged.

The wild card has been Milwaukee 7 - given the most resources and yardage.
In fact, the structure of Milwaukee 7 gives the impression that the people have authorized Barrett, Gale Klappa, We Energies and another Caucasian business person in Milwaukee 7 to be Ex-Officio of the city of Milwaukee - out of order. We do not have a Charter for Milwaukee that speaks to this.

Barrett and ex-Governor of Wisconsin Jim Doyle's lost a fight to take over the government funding of Milwaukee Public Schools.

Then there is the battle (Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce/MMAC, Greater Milwaukee Committee and Milwaukee 7) power-play against 9-5's Paid Sick law for the People.

This past week, Barrett has raised his head against the upcoming Milwaukee Jobs program.

Mayor Barrett and his Czar Don Sykes, MAWIB/Milwaukee Aea Workforce Investment Board, Workforce Development, went to one of the end-of-the 2011 year Community Brainstorming Saturday Forums and offered doom and gloom scam of NO EMPLOYMENT due to lack of education and drug infestation in African American neighborhoods - yet he went to Beijing, China with Chancellor Lovell to court Chinese representatives (CERNET) to bring Chinese students 6506 miles from China but have failed to "work in a needed and strategic pipeline effort", 2.1 miles from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
