TOP 10 African Americans in Technology @ SXSW Convention

The Inaugural BiT/Blacks in Technology Top 10 Awards was presented as a component of the SXSW Interactive Festival on Friday, March 9, 2012 during the BiT Welcome Reception being held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Carver Museum.

The award winners were chosen because of their accomplishments and involvement in technology innovation and collaboration, raising awareness of Blacks in the technology industry and new technology breakthroughs.

South by Southwest (SXSW) is a company that plans and executes conferences, trade shows, festivals and other events. Current roster of events include SXSW Music, SXSW Film, SXSW Interactive, SXSWedu, and SXSWeco, which take place every spring (usually in March) except SXSWeco, which takes place in October, all in Austin, Texas.
