Where are you Aycha Sawa Comptroller and your NEW TEAM?

NOVEMBER 4, 2022

MILWAUKEE, WI || City of Milwaukee Comptroller's Office owes the citizenry of Milwaukee - heirs/taxpayers/stakeholders - she took the Oath for due diligence as a Charter Officer.  We, the People elected a Comptroller to help ensure that our books are in the right order and we have a CPA traffic cop on staff every day to see that the mayor and legislators - the common council have funds appropriate and available for use in our coffers. To monitor/honor the statutes. To help GROW our assets for economic development and quality of life.

Milwaukee is in a state of disarray.  The executive branch Report Card is dismal due to the poor performance of Tom Barrett, past mayor.

Tom Barrett, selfishly participated in running from Milwaukee by seeking/receiving an ambassadorship to Luxembourg in late 2021.  The abruptness put the city in "unfinished business".
The leadership was then left to an "Acting Mayor" - Cavalier Johnson - who doubled as the Common Council President until April 5, 2022, when he became the first elected African American to become mayor of the city of Milwaukee.

Cavalier Johnson came into the office of mayor and quickly made some abrupt changes with Nik Kovac Alderman leaving District 3 to become the City of Milwaukee Budget Director.
Johnson followed the appointment of Kovac with the appointment of Ashanti Hamilton District 1 to head the Office of Violence Prevention.

Due to misbehavior in office, Alderwoman Chantia Lewis, District 9 was removed from office.  Therefore, we presently have Districts 1, 2, 3, and 9 vacant until November 8, 2022.

This week, Alderwoman Nikiya Dodd, District 5 announced that she was stepping down during the month of November 2022.  That means the City of Milwaukee will have had 5 major injuries to our infrastructure of the Common Council. The drastic position changes opened a learning curve for some time to come.
We, the People are depending on Aycha Sawa, Comptroller to provide us with knowledge for stability in our 2023 budget.
This means that she has to be on her toes with her team.
Who is BILL CHRISTIANSON?  What happened to  JOSHUA BENSON?

AYCHA SAWA
Aycha Sawa has come behind Martin Matson as the Comptroller while serving during Matson's term as Deputy Comptroller for 3 years.

Aycha came in with a heavy endorsement of likeability from the east side voters and a cross-section of Caucasians of Milwaukee.
Her opponent was NOT up-to-snuff and should have been defeated as he was.
It is coming the time in 2 years for re-election and/or election of a comptroller.

What say you Aycha Sawa is why my office keeps calling on your accountability and transparency for supporting your oath and Master Charter.

We are in the middle of the mess-up of Cavalier Johnson, mayor, Jose G. Perez, Common Council President, Marina Dimitrijevic chair Finance and Personnel, Milele Coggs District 6, Michael Murphy District 10, Khalif Rainey District 7, Russell Stamper District 15, Bob Bauman District 4, Scott Spiker District 13, JoCasta Zamarripa District 8, Mark Borkowski District 11, and Nikiya Dodd District 5.
The Amended budget sent forward by the common council on November 4, 2022, has a stamp or two of Aycha Sawa on it.  In fact, it starts with the Comptroller here.
==================================
Below are questions we need to be answered by Comptroller Aycha Sawa?  We also need a message from our Comptroller to address the long list of changes here.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE COMPTROLLER?

On October 27-28, 2022, BUDGET AMENDMENT DAY was scheduled.  What does that mean for African Americans, other People of Color, and the Work Challenged Milwaukeeans?

"We ask that Comptroller Aycha Sawa step forward with her due diligence going forward of how her office will INFORM taxpayers/the heirs. Give us the facts of how large sums of federal funds have been spent".

What recommendations have come from the Comptroller's office to assist the hundreds of thousands of Milwaukeeans who are left marred in poverty, evictions, homelessness, lack of health care efficacy, COVID, and viruses?  What do we have for funding for eviction?  What has been done to eradicate lead in water and soil? What is recommended for incarceration - young and adult?  What has been presented to the People for the giant expenditures of the police department?  What is the solution to the OFFICE OF VIOLENCE PREVENTION/OVP?

What funds are given to the Medical College of WI and Greater Milwaukee Foundation for the OVP?

What is invested in the city support of parents in Milwaukee Public Schools?

What rules and regulations are in place to show how the core constituents are entered in the consent of the resident?

November 1

What has the Comptroller prepared to represent to the resident of their authority in the agreement with the 2023 city budget for Milwaukee, i.e., the executive branch?

November 1, 2022, signifies the date of the vote of the common council.  What should we, the People, have for the common council and mayor Comptroller Sawa?
