City Center Milwaukee | AHOD/All Hands on Deck, WE CAN Initiative has added the wonderful world of bicycle riding to its ACTION items of Smart Growth "place spacing" modeling with emphasis on North Avenue between Fond du Lac and North to 27th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue and North to 27th Street.

Up-Scalability in Amani
"Bicycle travel is added to our 4-Month Invoked Atonement.  It is a wonderful way to exercise, get around and enjoy the outside."

"This is the beginning of discovery of what we have existing and what is available.  We know that in some areas there are markings but we do not feel enough attention is given to bicycle riders' safety - motor vehicles or some bicycle riders.  Additionally, crosswalk for pedestrians needs to be upticked - lights, operating buttons and time fo safety practices."

"With public transit having the option of riding your bicycle and the bus, more options available to the public.  We will include the bicycle amendments while discussing the pros and cons of advancing public transit in the Fond du Lac, North Avenue, Milwaukee and outside of Milwaukee."

"Additionally, we will look at Wauwatosa, our neighbors to the west, to see what steps/models that may be available and can be appropriate in the budgets before and now connecting on the east end of North Avenue (Milwaukee) and Fond du Lac Avenue. We, like Wisconsin Bike Federation recognize Wisconsin status move from 8th to No. 3 in 2013 in the country.  We see this as a point for engagement of all interested age groups.  We will see what the newly elected Alderman Russell Stamper, 15th District of Milwaukee thinks as well", said Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC.
