DeVry University - Downtown Milwaukee | The SPAA - The Speakers Publishers & Authors Association held its May meeting on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at DeVry University, 400 E. Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI  53202.

Dr. Michael Wilkins, Founder, The SPAA, Chicago, IL, was special guest with a video of SPPA, NEW theatre opening announcement for next month in Chicago; and, enlightening and paradigm shifting comments.

Also, in from Chicago and is a monthly visitor was Dr. Ron Alston, National Chapter Development Chairperson.

Milwaukee is one of several chapters around the country for The SPAA.

The Milwaukee President is Pastor Teresa Thomas-Boyd, Milwaukee Vice President is Wendell Harris - Harris is in the process of submitting his autobiography for publishing.  Congratulation!

The SPAA supports speakers, authors and actors.  Members are encouraged to tell their story in a "published" book, to be on radio and to be a national speaker through The SPAA.  Members are exposed to top level training to increase awareness in their professional ream.  Visit the website:  www.thespaa.org for dates of national speakers such as:  Les Brown, The Motivator and Brandy, television and music artist.

Monthly training

On May 10, 2014, the training was given by Pastor Thomas-Boyd.  The subject was:

A Strategy Tool Presentation for Strategic Planning. 

The critiqued presentation was well-presented with tips on the use of a "Strategy Chart" authored by Midwest Academy.  President Thomas-Boyd is a recipient of training with Midwest Academy and she has used the model to be successful in her outreach activities as an Commuity Organizer.  Handouts and examples were given; along with pointers and thought-provoking suggestions.

Next Meeting:  Saturday, June 14, 2014, at DeVry University, Milwaukee - Mezzanine Level.
