WISCONSIN/MILWAUKEE | Infrastructure changes in TRANSPORTATION are needed for public transportation for Milwaukeeans traveling to work, school, health care, shopping, and social use.
In fact, issues of having an automobile, auto insurance, and a driver's license prevent employment.
Pet projects by elected, appointed, hired, and donor-for-hire government representatives refuse to use federal transportation funding to improve the quality of life and economic development for Milwaukeeans, i.e., The Hop in downtown Milwaukee.
Additionally, Milwaukee's history of discrimination and segregation is seen in how African Americans, other People of Color, and Work Challenged families are denied their civil rights.
WRONG SIDE OF TRACKS
#1
The creation of Interstate 43 deliberately destroyed the quality of life and economic development of African Americans in Milwaukee.
#2
Residential, commercial, and special excise taxes were imposed and decade-businesses were destroyed due to a lack of planning by the Department of Public Works and Wisconsin Department of Transportation during the 2000 reconstruction of state Highway 145 - Fond du Lac Avenue,
#3
I-794 was the location of Tent City eviction by WI Governor Tony Evers, Secretary Craig Thompson of WisDOT, Tom Barrett, Mayor, and Chris Abele, County Executive by the EVICTION of the homeless at Milwaukee's Tent City by October 31, 2019.

I-794 evicted the homeless in Tent city but the location has been identified as a posh dog park created by Elizabeth Weirick, Executive Director, BID 21 downtown, Historic Third Ward Business Improvement District #2 and Milwaukee Public Market Executive Director Paul Schwartz, and blessings of Bob Bauman, Alderman District 4, and Lafayette Crump, Commissioner of the Department of City Development. *********************************
Arbitrary and capricious cancellation by Milwaukee County Transit System of premium routes that impact working families of Milwaukee. Removal of routes needed for transportation to FULL-TIME employment in Menomonee Falls business districts.
The need was in the bus vehicles, drivers, routes, and public works with sidewalks, street lights, connecting traffic lights, roadways, streets, and at least customer services operating for at least the promotion of a 1st and 2nd shifts daily.
