MAY is Mental Awareness Month - Can we count you in?

GLOBAL || COMMUNITIES - May 1-May 31, 2023, FRIENDS OF PUBLIC POLICY, a NEW group with a 2-month ANNOUNCEMENT (April/May) to launch a DEI/DIVERSITY-EQUITY-INCLUSION campaign to highlight race, ethnicity, gender, and age.  To point out how discrimination, homelessness, mental illness, quality of life, and economic development factors are the root causes of global disparities.

How elected, appointed, hired, and donor-for-hire government representatives in communities must have a code of conduct that includes honoring the Oath of office, Smart Growth mandated by the 10 principles of strategic planning and accountability,

The local government must be informed about wealth-building, therefore, the Federal Reserve and the banks should be connected with building a city-town-village framework of wealth that includes its annual budget.

DAILY WOUNDS IN MENTAL ILLNESS

The growing number of individuals suffering after the COVID pandemic and long bouts of unemployment have increased anxiety, depression, drug intake, and drug overdose.

The pandemic has affected the public’s mental health and well-being in a variety of ways, including isolation and loneliness, job loss and financial instability, and illness and grief. Concerns about mental health and substance use remain elevated three years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, with 90% of U.S. adults believing that the country is facing a mental health crisis, according to a recent KFF/CNN survey.
