City Center Milwaukee |  Amani Neighborhood is an Urban neighborhood located in Midwest America, in the city of Milwaukee and state of Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC recently launched Next Door Amani - Ground Zero to assist with the fellowship, citizenship, scholarship, apprenticeship, entrepreneurship, partnership, ownership, mentorship, leadership and STEWARDSHIP.

Stewardship is working in a collaboration with residential, commercial, neighborhood organizations, schools, churches, public and government entities for the overall aggrandizement of "Amanians" - the people in Amani.

"We seek to abate FRAGMENTATION and institute SOLIDARITY.

Step one
Since collaboration and networking is one of the assets of Next Door social network, it is an excellent opportunity to bring together "hidden talent and vetted businesses" in the Amani and contiguous neighborhoods.  It is an excellent opportunity for residential and commercial stakeholders to bond, share strengths, evaluate changes, create and implement opportunities that can and will grow the positives available at the census tract and neighborhood level.

X and BFM
The X Generation are the post world war babies - 60-80's and BF & M stands for Born Frees and Millennials.  They are the age group from the 1980's to year 2000.  They are age for "mentorship" - the leaders into the next generation.

They are progressive, thoughtful, innovative, prideful and IT savvy professionals with a committed agenda to raise the awareness of Amanians and other stakeholders that are key to the self-sustainability of the area of Amani and the city of Milwaukee.

One such hidden talent is:  Quan Caston.

Quan Caston, a former U.S. Air Force reconnaissance photographer.
Quan is known in the neighborhood as an artist, author and noted chess educator-teacher with a specific vision in sharing protocols for success with our younger minds - allowing mentor-ship and hands-on project for creativity, art form and patience.  Three examples of Quan's mentorship is his teaching the art of chess, outreach in activism and creativity in painting.

He has for years instituted the knowledge of "learning how to play Chess".  He has worked with Milwaukee Public Schools students and other after schools assisting in providing "safe haven" environments that promote positive thinking and awareness for problem solving.

This past weekend, Quan Caston,  was found at the vigil of 10-year-old Sierra Guyton - Metcalfe Park residents and others from around the city came together on Memorial Day to support the family of 10-year-old Sierra Guyton, who was shot last week while on her playground.

On May 27, 2014, he accepted the position of Program Chairman - Events at the newly renovated Calvin C. Moody Park, 2200 W. Burleigh.

Quan recently attended the 4-Month Atonement Meeting #2 for the Amani Neighborhood at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society and Museum, on Saturday, May 17, 2014.  He was the guest of Mary Glass, producer of the event.

He immediately signed-up for the Next Door Amani - Ground Zero social network.

Caston said in an Update Amani Post, "I pledge to take the responsibility of bringing quality culturally significant edu-tainment to our community very serious if for no other reason than the tremendous affect media and entertainment has on the minds of our children. Thanks to all my comrades at AMANI UNITED for your continual support. Looking forward to a tremendously successful year as well as years to come. Here's to serving our residents effectively and our continual success!!! Peace!!!!"

We wish this young man nothing but the best.  Go for it Quan!
