Carter G. Woodson & the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History Gift to the World

Dr. Carter G. Woodson
Negro History Week (1926) The precursor to Black History Month was created in 1926 in the United States when historian Carter G. Woodson and the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History announced the second week of February to be "Negro History Week".

It is said that he chose February for the observance because February 12th was Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and February 14th was the accepted birthday of Frederick Douglass.
==================

Historian Carter G. Woodson
Known as the “Father of Black History,” Woodson (1875-1950) was the son of former slaves, and understood how important gaining a proper education is when striving to secure and make the most out of one’s divine right of freedom. Although he did not begin his formal education until he was [almost] 20 years old, his dedication to studying enabled him to earn a high school diploma in West Virginia and bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago in just a few years. In 1912, Woodson became the second African American to earn a Ph.D. at Harvard University.

Under Woodson’s pioneering leadership, the Association created research and publication outlets for black scholars with the establishment of the Journal of Negro History (1916) and the Negro History Bulletin (1937), which garners a popular public appeal.

In 1926, Dr. Woodson initiated the celebration of Negro History Week, which corresponded with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. In 1976, this celebration was expanded to include the entire month of February, and today Black History Month garners support throughout the country as people of all ethnic and social backgrounds discuss the black experience.

In honor of all the work that Dr. Carter G. Woodson has done to promote the study of African American History, an ornament of Woodson hangs on the White House’s Christmas tree each year.

It is Black History Month, We discover, remember, TEACH and we hold accountable FOR CORRECTION

This young boy, a child, was EXECUTED by crazy racists Caucasians.  You cannot forget this horrific and terrorist act.
It was 74 years ago.
So you see similarities today?
****************************
George Junius Stinney Jr., was an African-American teenager wrongfully convicted at age 14 of the murder of two white girls in 1944 in his hometown of Alcolu, South Carolina. He was executed in June of that year, still only 14. His appeal to the governor for clemency was  denied.  Wikipedia

February 6 - What Can I and African American Count on from You?

Too much is given away - Too much has been taken

Updated
February 6, 2019

MILWAUKEE || It is time brothers and sisters with the authenticity of history each day and the lack of sustainability for each one of you cast to the wind, we Call for Action - for TAKEBACK & REMOVAL of blockage.

2020
The charter officers MUST be held accountable for their DISRESPECT, discrimination, oppression, segregation, willful ABANDONMENT, failure to do homework prior to making decisions/votes, and STEALING our assets - real estate and massive federal funding.

A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We start NOW with a sense of urgency for self-sustainability.

Who among us will replace Tom Barrett, mayor, the traffic cop of the city of Milwaukee?
The rot starts at the head.

Who will we replace in the 15 districts?

A replacement of lock-step "do-nothing", arrogance, gatekeeping, and failure to consolidate legislation to repeal bad decisions and slavery of Milwaukeeans.

We must replace those who act like "bigots".

We must replace the alderperson who align with cronies and plutocrats to defeat the core constituents.

We must replace the alderperson that refuses to return calls or meet with the citizenry; i.e., Bob Bauman and Jose G Perez.

It is not OK to create havens for Caucasians Alderman Bauman in the harbor district and with African American BID 10 leader, Keith Stanley, Harley Davidson, Potawatomi, Marquette, Miller and the like.  Or, the Streetcar bullying.

We must call out those who pit us against each other like Russell Stamper and misrepresent his oath of office.  Mr. MC Cole ( "New Hammer's Den" at 1816 W Fond Du Lac Ave.was cheated and placed o HOLD (2014-Now) by Alderperson Tony Zielinski, Russell Stamper, Milele Coggs, Robert Puente, and Joe Dudzik vote.   Make it right.

This was a classic case seen often with "lock-step" oversight based in the ARBITRARY and  Capricious statements of the alderperson - FACTS DO NOT MATTER.

Sharon Adams & Family (husband and son-in-law) were able to use your office against this man.

Sharon and Larry Adams, Maanaan Sabir, Virginia DuPriest and District 15 Alderman Russell Stamper deliberately BLOCKED MC Cole, who invested $100k of his own funds to open a tavern, restaurant, and two separate bedroom apartments at 1810-1822 W. Fond du Lac.
1848 W. Fond du Lac Ave

You blocked Mr. Cole, but OK'd the tavern spot - Tandemfor Caucasians, Julie Kaufman, and Jeremey Davis.

15 COLE, MC, Class B Tavern and Public Entertainment Premises Licenses
Transfer - Change of Location Requesting Disc Jockey, Patrons Dancing, Jukebox,
and Amusement Machines for "New Hammer's Den" at 1816 W Fond Du Lac Av.
The applicant states he has purchased a large property and would like to be given a chance.  He has been on HOLD for 4 years.
Stop the con.  We, the people, must stop the HORRIFIC con.
The time is always right to do what is right. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Who do we have aligned for leadership for the people as treasurer, comptroller, city attorney, city clerk, municipal court judges, commissioners for the city (DCD, DPW, DNS, Assessor), and city engineer?

Re-assessment of the board of MEDC/Milwaukee Economic Development Commission and the board of WI Center District is long overdue for the inclusion of members of the citizenry and removal of the "slush funds"

WHERE IS THE INSPECTOR GENERAL?

For the last 12 years, 2004-NOW, plutocrats along with elected, appointed, hired and donor-for-hire representatives for the government have assembled and systematically stolen the wealth of African American, other People of Color and the Work Challenged of Milwaukee.

Pilfering of federal funds earmarked for the empowerment of the population of Milwaukee, stealing real estate - property through taxes, redlining, and eminent domaining.

Pilfering through the creatioof rules and regulations to support fraud and delegation of process and procedures that guarantee takeover with little to NO discovery of wrongdoing.

Greater Milwaukee Committee, Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerceand Milwaukee 7 have systematically used Caucasians and plutocrats in seven (7) counties along with the Department of Labor to put in place Jim Crow type of oversight that put the same people making decisions about the wealth and assets of Milwaukeeans

The premier organization is called Milwaukee 7.
It was formed 100% Caucasian-based.

The Milwaukee 7, launched in 2005, was formed to create a regional, cooperative economic development platform for the seven counties of southeastern Wisconsin:  Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. Its mission is to attract, retain, and grow diverse businesses and talent.

- grow diverse businesses and talent - this does not mean African American and other People of Color.

It is headed by millionaire Gale Klappa, We Energies.  In tow is Tim Sheehy, MMAC and MEDC President with privileges NOT known or given by the citizenry.

Guess who is the front guy - Tom Barrett, City of Milwaukee Mayor.  This is one of many reasons "TOM" must go in 2020.

Where is the RIGHT LADY MAYOR Candidate?
