Black Lens celebrates Valentine’s Day, (February 14th) with the return of Black Love through a Black Lens.
The evening begins with a shorts program that focuses on love. Films include UR MINES (dir. Jeff Lucky), B-LOVE (dir. Shahari Moore), FRENCH FRIES (dir. Janine Sherman Barrois), 90 DAYS (dir. Jenna Frederique Aponte, Nathan Hale Williams), GEMA (dir. Kenrick Prince), and THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GUMMY BEARS (dir. Raafi Rivero).
The screening begins at 6:30pm, followed by a panel discussion moderated by DASHA KELLY HAMILTON.
It will begin at 8:00pm at the Colectivo Prospect Back Room (2211 N. Prospect Ave.). Tickets will be available at the box office. Below is a trailer for one of the featured films, FRENCH FRIES:
