The Progressive Voice of Milwaukee's North Shore Communities |
Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC met with Eileen Stevens, Office Manager, Grass Roots North Shore. During the visit, Glass met Nancy Kaplan, the Web Developer and a blogger for GRNS. The meeting was to learn more about the efforts of Grass Roots North Shore and their political advocacy program for progressive change.
Additionally, it was to share hot points of MPA LLC Signature Initiative, All Hands on Deck, WE CAN, and see how Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC and Grass Roots North Shore could link for mutual benefits.
Online networking was a common strength of both organizations.
Glass gave a snippet of the NEW online social networking known as MPALLCtwitlink - boutique outreach to GEN X - Millennials, and other groups.

Stevens shared their regular outreach to the public for meeting their mission. In fact, they had a voter recruitment that morning with recruits from Milwaukee. Both Glass and Stevens agreed to provide space on their websites to promote events and issues of the two organizations.

GRNS next event is on Healthcare options in Wisconsin. It is Sunday, November 3, 2013, North Shore Presbyterian Church, 4048 Bartlett Ave., Shorewood, WI. The doors open at 3:30pm. Program at 4:00pm.

The office visit by Glass was a follow-up to Grass Roots North Shore Book Review/Signing by John Nichols and Rober McChesney on Monday, October 8, 2013, Plymouth Church, 2717 E Hampshire Street, Milwaukee, WI 53211, 6-9pm. The book title, Dollarocracy, How the Money and Media Election Complex is Destroying America, was well-received by over 200 people.
