Thank You, Medicare - A USA Government Health Service

MILWAUKEE, WI- Everyday we are bombarded with this-n-that about the USA government. It is in debt, has a debt ceiling, too much spending, not taxing the wealthy, low/no/middle class loosing their homes, cutbacks, homes under water, bailing out the banks, and on, and on. It is necessary to note that whatever state we are in, WE ALL HAD A PART IN IT GETTING THERE - either as a willing participant, enabler, turning a blind eye and/or not insisting on the best jobs from those we elect, and those they appoint-hire-volunteer.

Therefore, it is up to us to see that we get out of the "stew".

GOOD NEWS - It works
My good news is a "Thank you" to our government.

USA Government Medicare provides me with a safety net, "health care coverage". The safety net allows me and others to take advantage of preventive care, wellness and emergency.

I became 65 years old last year and eligible for Medicare Health Coverage. I, like many more Americans were at-risk, NO annual and preventive care - we just could not afford it. Therefore, only reactionary care - emergencies.

Decades
I remember when I paid for health care and/or my employment status paid for HMOs for many, many years, and fortunately, did not use the service.

I have you to know, it was such a blessing to recently visit the doctor knowing I would be serviced. I am sure there are so many, many, many more Americans who feel the same way.

As a grateful user, I am also protective of use - asking pertinent questions of the caregivers about the services offered, following and matching billing, billing rates, applicable and questionable costs; as well as trying to stay abreast of what the market bears for gerontology wellness.

So, I say to the wheelers and the dealers in our U.S. Congress, be careful what you cut, it may be your mother, grandmother, wife, children, relatives, neighbors or YOU - just keep living.
