Glass Calls for Chicago Federal Reserve to provide INCLUSION of People of Color Neighborhood Businesses in Milwaukee and Urban Neighborhoods to BOLSTER the economy

MILWAUKEE(MPA) – Recent research, review and observation revealed the spread of oligopoly-monopoly control and continues to raise the flag of widespread Discrimination, lack of due process,  conflict of interest and “by-design” exclusion of neighborhood hidden talent and vetted businesses.
====================================================
The strangle-hold on the URBAN infrastructure is in the devaluing of existence of hidden talent and vetted businesses at the neighborhood.  Therefore, there is NO CHANGE.

"When individuals are selected from regions - companies, banks, the corporate structure and large groups only, the other 90% majority of the population is disadvantaged and the full scale of the economy of America is falsely presented and more importantly, creates greed and privileged behavior that are presented as the norm.  It also foster "conflict of interest" , irrespective of the firewall that is to be in place, and a continued unequal distribution of wealth and unemployment in our city-county-country.

Economic growth must be realized at the neighborhood level for America to come off the fiscal cliff.

The formation of CLOSED boards, committees and special task forces that fail to include the vastness of the vetted neighborhood businesses, that include African American, other People of Color and Work Challenged; put a huge drag on our economy - its employment data, our gross national product and our gross national debt."

Charles Evans - Chicago Federal Reserve
He is the ninth president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. In that capacity, he serves on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve System's monetary policy-making body.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks across the country. These 12 banks — along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. — make up our nation's central bank. As head of the Chicago Fed, Evans oversees the work of roughly 1400 employees in Chicago and Detroit who conduct economic research, supervise financial institutions, and provide payment services to commercial banks and the U.S. government.

Listen to President Evans talk about the IMPORTANCE of diversity of views at the Federal Reserve. CLICK

Discrimination at the Federal Reserve
Since URBAN neighborhood-level businesses are not represented at the Chicago Federal Reserve, the issues of the consumers, unions, professional groups representing personnel, racial groups, small businesses and the have-nots are not discussed and NOT factored in the equation.

This is odd since the Federal Reserve of Chicago participated in the study and had a close look at 16 cities in America, Milwaukee was one of  them and identified Milwaukee as an Enduring Concentrated Poverty city.  In fact, mayor Tom Barrett - Milwaukee was invited to be the Keynote speaker at the Federal Reserve December 3, 2008 luncheon in Washington, DC.
Jeremiah Boyle, Community Affairs conducted the study in Milwaukee, page 159 and hosted the December 3, 2008 luncheon.

Also, since the Federal Reserve and the Brookings Institution released the 2008 case study, The Enduring Challenge of Concentrated Poverty in America:  Case study from communities across the U.S., Milwaukee Professionals Association strongly suggest a follow-up for continued update and correction of the economic lags.

Milwaukee has ongoing issues that target today's economy and high unemployment.  We also able to document report-after-report of EXCLUSION and lack of due process; yet we have in place laws of compliance.

L-R:  Chairman Ben Bernanke, Federal Reserve and Vermont U. S. Senator Bernie Sanders
Last week, June 7, 2012, Chairman Ben Bernanke met in front of the Joint Economic Committee for over 2 hours with testimony about the May employment and overall Economic Outlook.

MPA allign with U. S. Senator Bernie Sanders on the key issues facing population of high unemployment and disproportion of wealth, by-design.

Milwaukee is one of the 16 cities cited in the study from the Chicago Federal Reserve; we are calling on President Evans to:
  • Fulfill the Fed Mission with smart decisions to engage INNOVATIVE participation from the BOTTOM-UP as a priority
  • Ensure that representatives to the Chicago Federal Reserve - Jeffrey Jorress, Manpower - Fed Board, David Lubar, Lubar & Company and Carol Maria, Wisconsin Business Development of the Milwaukee area, are linked to Milwaukee Professionaals Association and other urban groups for continuity of efforts and besting Code of Conduct for Inclusion.
  • Increase OUTREACH to African American, other People of Color and the Work Challenged (un-, under-employed; un-, under-degreed and certificated; un-, under-financed neighborhood-level business; disabled; and re-entry - especially those returning from WAR, INCARCERATION, BOOMERANG EMPLOYMENT, BOOMERANG RETIREMENT and DEGREED students without employment).
  • Reinstate the Community Education forums that was held in Milwaukee through the Community Affairs office, contact Jeremiah Boyle.
  • Ensure that a laser focus is placed on providing tools for neighborhood-level businesses in Milwaukee and other Urban areas of the Chicago Reserve.
  • Look at the labor statistics that show specifics of Urban areas that reflect factors in fiscal growth at the neighborhood level.
  • Revisit the 2008 case study with an emphasis on stimulating grow and eliminating the "drag" on Urban Milwaukee economy through re-defining, re-branding and UN-trapping hidden talent and vetted businesses.
  • Work with Milwaukee Professionals Association in providing state-of-the-art information for the 2012 Show Us the Money and Resources series - information forums.
L-R:  Fred Lubar, Lubar & Company, Carol Maria, Wisconsin Business Development and Jeffrey Joerres, Manpower

We definitely seek best practices and accountability from our representatives to the Federal Reserve of Chicago Board and committees - This includes speaking at forums and outreach of information.  They are:
  • Jeffrey Joerres - Federal Reserve of Chicago Board
  • Fred Lubar and Carol Maria - Wisconsin representatives - Advisory Council Agriculture, Small Business and Labor
We will be back.
Stay tuned.
