Scott Walker "Diss" Milwaukee - Has he completely lost it?

                                                      Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker

Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
======================

MILWAUKEE(MPA) - Scott Walker, governor of Wisconsin, has used the following comment while visitng Quad Graphics in Sussex (a company that has a history in getting resources from the City of Milwaukee to maintain/operate/expand and grow):

"We don't want Wisconsin to become like Milwaukee," he said, adding that he wanted Wisconsin to help troubled cities in the state.

I will lay odds he is going to regret that statement.
======================

The problem with Walker's statement is that his comment is like the suburban John that comes into the city seeking a thrill and the next morning demonizing the woman he praised the night before.

He assumed office as a result of the Recall for Tom Ament, Milwaukee County Executive.
During Walker's administration, he prepared to run for the governor of Wisconsin.
He froze and stripped departments and programs.

His claim to fame included "balancing the budget".  Tell me, what good is balancing the budget and the county services are in the toilet?

County employees were forced out and services went lacking big time - even pools closing in the summer.  Scott was ducking and dodging and refusing to be accountable - refusing to respond to inquiries - just as he has in his office in Madison as governor.  It took his Secretary of Commerce, Paul Jardin, 3 months to say nothing - to fail to answer the questions asked by Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, Milwaukee Professionals Association.

Governor Walker seems to have little to no shame - December, 2011, he and his son showed up at the annual Salvation Army and WMCS 1290 Christmas dinner to feed the public and got a position to serve food - very transparent Scott.  It was at the Christmas meal that Glass spoke to the governor and reminded him of the disingenuous act of his being there before the families, many without employment and other quality of life issues; when she had been trying to get a response from him for over 11 months  to help those of the audience.

Walker has orchestrated his failed leadership into a corner, little to NO SUBSTANCE.
Looking at the debates, he has been practicing with the "tipping and talking" points - no matter how false and half-truth they may be.  Tis the season, if I say the lie enough, it will stick with some people.

His failure to lead properly and ensure that the structures of the Milwaukee county were safe, is said to be the cause of McDonnell Park Parking lot falling and a young man losing his life.
                                           Tim Russell - ex-staffer of Governor Walker

I remember shortly after Walker took office, his handlers were very protective of Walker, one was Tim Russell.  Another young man just out of the University of Wisconsin worked closely for about a year  or so - then he was off to some mellow position in Washington, DC.

I mention this because of the "distance that Walker seem to be trying to make" regarding the folk that are getting the screws that helped him.  People acting as close as his skin but he did not know of their wrongdoings.

 Back to the disparaging statement about Milwaukee, his lack of leadership, not burning bridges, speaking as an unwise person but most of all, speaking and dismissing over a half-million people.  This is the man that speaks of his children in school in nearby Milwaukee.

Why would the governor "dis" the largest city?
Why would the governor "DIS" the iconic city that link the benefits.
Why isn't he talking about what he is doing to raise the "banner" high?

Since taking office, he has progressively gone over the top in his behavior.

Governor Walker appears to be trying to make Green Bay the NEW Milwaukee for the state.
His NEW transformation of the Department of Commerce and his new secretary (from Green Bay) appear to have been clueless in how to engage business entrepreneur of Color.

It is not the city of Milwaukee , it is the past county executive non-leadership by Scott Walker and others elected-appointed-hired-volunteered and donor for hire took but refused to give back.

It is irresponsible to make the statement, to "DISS" Milwaukee, Governor Scott Walker!
