The Milwaukee Flyers Tumbling Team is a non-profit 501(c) organization that was established in 2005 by a group of Milwaukee men, whose main purpose is to provide a positive outlet for the youth, which include recreational and entertainment activities, while strengthening life skills such as self-discipline, personal responsibility, and integrity.
The Milwaukee Flyers coaches have been dazzling audiences for years with their high-flying acrobatic performances. The Milwaukee Flyers coaches first started performing with the famous Jessie White Tumbling Team and later move on to touring with the Ringling Brother and Barnum & Bailey Circus and was known as the Chicago Kidz. They also entertained arenas with the Harlem Globetrotters Hot Boyz Acrodunking Team, appeared in the movie "The Meteor Man" starring Robert Townsend, and were featured on "The Late Night Show with Arsenio Hall".
The Milwaukee Flyers have performed at the African World Festival, Marquette Golden Eagles half-time shows, Milwaukee Waves, Peace for Change Alliance youth rallies, Milwaukee Police Department events, Milwaukee Firefighter Brotherhood events, and various corporate events and block parties.
Presently, the Milwaukee Flyers have teamed with the Martin Luther Community Center to provide not only the physical education to our members to achieve success on the tumbling team with weekly practices, but also one-on-one mentoring and tutoring sessions to help promote the academic success of our members, as our program requires members to maintain a "c" average to attend practice and events. We would like to see our program expand to a level that will continue to prepare our youth for a brighter future and fulfill the mission of The Milwaukee Flyers Tumbling Team.
