PyeongChang, South KoreaSouth Korea has received the nod from the International Olympic Committee for the 2018 Winter Olympics. This victory comes as a result of close wins in 2010 and 2014 bids. They beat out Munich, Germany and Annecy, France.

Pyeonghang is located in the eastern province of Gangwon. It is believed that the victory of the 2018 Olympics will bring huge economic benefits that will rank in $$billions and over 200,000 jobs.
