ALL Hands on Deck - Technology Infrastructure - Broadband

Subject: Public Policy
Area: National-Local-Global

"We are whistling in the dark, while other countries are sailing in the light of broadband", said Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, Milwaukee Professionals Association. "Milwaukee Professionals Association is busy introducing, supporting, sharing awareness and reaching out to Chairman Julius Genachowski and Administrator Karen Mills, the Small Business Administration, to build a BOTTOM-UP Recovery Plan - a coalition of informed and online Milwaukeeans at the neighborhood-level with high speed in the internet world for 21st Century global competitiveness".

Milwaukee, WI - MPA through its blog MPA Public Policy Review and other communications, is calling for the Governor of Wisconsin, leaders of both sides of the state capitol, joint finance committee, telecommunication and technology boards, mayor, common council, county executive supervisors and school board members to "listen-up and to step up to ensure that their constituents are in the world-class category of Broadband frequency. To work with MPA to make this a reality as soon as humanly possible.

MPA continues to "push" for infrastructural correctness by Calling for Milwaukeeans to become familiar with the FCC-Federal Communication Commission "National Broadband Plan". To spend time reading up on the plan, then moving into ACTION to share for better awareness, to call upon his/her alderperson, supervisor and school board member to create a "neighborhood-level" plan that will help bundle the synergy necessary to "move Milwaukee" out of stagnation, out of standing still.

Below is an overview of the National Broadband Plan by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski. It is well worth you taking the time to listen and become "informed".
