CCN State of the Union w/Candy Crowley and Governor Scott Kevin Walker receives a D grade from the perspective of Crowley's lack of due diligence in background work for truth-telling and reporting by guest Governor Walker. It certainly echoed the topical reporting so often seen in the media.VIDEO is slow to start.

Crowley failed to meet the threshold of true reporting for sharp and issue-oriented fact-finding of 'state-of-the-union' with Walker. She started off with set-up background - Walker taking on the unions (Act 10 law) and then pitched Walker's recall success, allegedly catapulting Walker in a position of candidacy for President; and, plugging Walker's recent book, "Un-Intimidated".
There was NO mention of the flip results of Act 10 - Walker with the unions; divastation afterwards - including elected officials leaving the state to prohibit takeover and ruthless methods in the state congress; recall battle; Democratic legislators leaving the state to avoid takeover without representation, $$millions lost in Walker's new Commerce Department; John Doe investigation and the loss of his state, Wisconsin, to President Barack Obama instead of a win for Candidates Mitt Romney, WI Rep. Paul Ryan and Republican Committee Chair Reince Preibus, who is from Wisconsin.
Most of all, Crowley failed to talk about:
- Governor Walker's bait-n-switch for running for governor.
- Governor Walker's switch to the Koch Brothers rather than Wisconsinites.
- Governor Walker's 250,000 jobs promise in Wisconsin - 85,000 late November, 2013.
- Governor Walker's huge failure in the promise of 250,000 jobs.
- Governor Walker's divisiveness by allowing law enforcement to not be affected in his "public workers union break-up".
- Governor Walker's divisiveness affecting the ethics of WI State Congress.
- Governor Walker and the Republicans at the state level passing legislation in the middle of the night and without due process to the Democrats.
- Governor Walker's refusal to assist Wisconsinites in gaining health care.
- Governor Walker's refusal to assist children, low and middle income Wisconsinites for the Expansion health care.
Walker took advantage of the opening by first spinning his book focus. By the way, the key word for Walker was "focus". He tried on more than two occasions to wrap the un-ending misguided talking points of Republicans and others on the "wrong" of the Affordable Health Care law. Another use of "focus" was when Walker was asked about "unemployment insurance" being cut by the Republicans in Congress. He used a non-related analogy of his two boys playing football. He also pointed to skill training - the over-used but nothing really substantive done to connect facts with assertions.
Walker spoke of his office implementing a $17 million Food Stamp and training/skill plan. He justified it with 1-ONE example of a lady not attending his Budget hearing because she was enrolled in a Nursing class. Just as his sons' analogy, it did not meet the "smell test" - hollow.
Walker was able to slide in his-Paul Ryan and his boys' past work history at McDonald's but shared it was different today with what is being proposed - these jobs will no longer be availabe with increases in wage.
It was true Scott Kevin Walker looking in the camera with the "WE" useless talking points well-rehearsed and failing Abe Lincoln's - "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." - Abraham Lincoln
Crowley's lack of preparedness and true reporting for her Sunday Morning audience and Walker's charade made commentary beneath expectation of their positions.
