Center | Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC announced the selections of the 2014
theme for Black History Month; and, 3 of its honorees are announced today,
January 9, 2014.
Black History Month is
celebrated during the month of February each year. The All Hands on Deck, WE CAN Initiative
Action project calls for energized and profound discourse and reverence.
Our celebration starts with excitement released today for the theme and
3 women honorees.

Our first three (3) Honorees of 2014 are:
- Anna Julia Cooper – August 10, 1858 to February 27, 1964
- International Speaker-Advocate, Author and Educator
- Zora Neale Hurston – January 7, 1891 to January 28, 1960
- Author, Folklorist and Anthropologist
- Lauri Wynn – August 7, 1930 – December 18, 2014
- WI Governor Earl Policy Advisor, Educator and Lobbyist
