Today, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC added Brewers' Hill as the 8th neighborhood in the first Demo area for Affordable Health Care.
Brewers' Hill is a small, diverse neighborhood north of downtown on the Milwaukee River. The neighborhood is bordered by North Avenue to the north, Holton Ave to the east, the Milwaukee River and Pleasant Street on the south, and Martin Luther King Drive on the west. Wikipedia.
DEMONSTRATION
MPA LLC Demonstration period is June 1, 2013 – March 31, 2014 (305 days). The target groups are in the 8 neighborhoods (Amani, Brewers' Hill, Halyard, Harambee, Hillside, Midtown, Riverwest, WAICO/YMCA), approximately 44,000 residential and commercial beneficiaries in Milwaukee. It takes a look at:
- population health care and wellness
- chronic conditions
- businesses and employment
- practices of health care providers
- hospitals-clinics-home care and health practitioners
- doctors-nurses-specialists
- suppliers
- pharmaceutical organizations and insurance payers (private and public).
