Item 22. 161473 Communication from the Department of City Development relating to an annual report of neighborhood poster sales in accordance with a license agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Historic Milwaukee Inc.

March 9, 2017
O February 15, 2017, Mary Glass, Chief Visionary Officer, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC, appeared before the Community & Economic Development  of the City of Milwaukee to address a concern she brought to the attention of the City Clerk's office - Linda  Elmer - for clarity regarding the length of time of Agreement of the City of Milwaukee with Historic Milwaukee Inc.

The records did not reflect the full common council voting on the length of time before Historic Milwaukee Inc was evaluated for a continuance in its agreement of sale - a joint agreement with John Gurda and others for unauthorized - by citizenry - for sale of posters and other neighborhood mascots.

Glass addressed four (4) concerns.  They were:

  • How frequent will Historic Milwaukee come before the Community & Economic Development Committee
  • Amani Signage/Poster - Original
  • Who authorized merger and did citizen have a buy-in?
  • NEW Advisory Group is needed going forward

#22 is at the end of the video.
