March 23, 2017 - Supporters of the Affordable Health Care Act met at Water Tower Park for Tribute in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - Seven (7) years {March 23, 2010 - March 23, 2017}, have gone by since President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Health Care Act. March 23, 2010.

Mary Glass, Indivisible - Milwaukee (The Hub), Rickey Potts, BID 39, Marina Johnson and Ravil Ashirov, UWM Students for a Democratic Society, Dawn Powell, Dawn to Dusk Forever Garden Group and two (2) University of Wisconsin students represented Milwaukeeans and American supporters of the Affordable Health Care Act.  

Glass made comments to Channel 12, WISN, about the pros and repair needs of the Affordable Health Care.  She also pointed to the fact that if the AHC was dismantled, 14 - 24 million folk would lose health insurance.  And, those with low and no income as well as seniors would be without care.

The supporters represented seniors, college students, students until 26 years of age on parent's insurance, social security, pre-existing condition, Medicare and Medicaid.

Balloons were released.

The event was held at Water Tower Park, 2288 N. Lake Drive, Milwaukee at 12 NOON.
