Born Frees Millennials - GEN Y

November 12, 2013
MILWAUKEE | This week is a ROUND-UP and massive outreach for participants interested in the participation in ALL HANDS on DECK, WE CAN Initiative.

Born Frees
BORN FREES Millennials are the 1980s to 2000 population.  They are part of the gravitas blueprint of the administration of Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC.
They have little to NO real connected understanding of the pre-slavery and post-slavery path they come - and, for sure the path of their parents parents.

MPA LLC bold and aggressive push is on nuance, innovation, and jumpstarting economic engines that utilizes the Internet and creative boutique marketing.  The hidden talent and vetted neighborhood businesses are sought from all generations.   One of the lead groups is:  The Born Frees Millennials.

Born Frees Millennials or Generation Y age groups are the young and the smart with needed responsibility ties and appreciation of cultures and value-added historic connections with Gen X and Gen Z.

We see how the intelligence can be used to turn the economy around and help stablize city of Milwaukee neighborhoods.    Born Frees Millennials are of all races and interracial in breeding.  They are educated and they are un- and under-educated.  They ALL have much to offer if we take advange of their talents, partner for sustainability and TRAIN - practicum experience, on-the-job training, academic and MPA Case Learning.

Born Frees and Millennials - Project BFM and EB5

Born Frees & Millennials
January 16, 2014
MILWAUKEE City Center | Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC has dubbed its newest project to All Hands on Deck, WE CAN/AHOD as the "hot bed" and petri dish for hidden talent.  It is the Born Frees and Millennial stakeholders (Generation Y/Millennial Born Frees -- (1980-2000s) .

Born Frees
Born Frees refer to the African American population born after the 1964 civil rights act.  They are Africans born, grew up after the end of Apartheid in South Africa. They are the sons and daughters of the great-granddaughters and great-grandsons of slaves in America and Africa.

Born Frees are also the sons and daughters born to Latinos and other People of Color who's parents fled their native land to study and/or live in America - The parents may be called, non-citizen because they never became naturalized - became a citizen or documented through the Immigration bureau of the United States.   The parents are not citizens, but the sons and daughters are citizens because they were "born" in America.

Therefore, MPA LLC has launched "linkage" for empowerment for those that make-up these emerging and vastly populated citizens and potential citizens.  They are the "petri dish" for excitement, research, innovation, upscalability, today's employment and emerging opportunities.

We start with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, EB5 program and the Affordable Health Care law.  We also seek "like-minds" for wraparound opportunities of preparedness, employment, investments, transparency, best practices, accountability.

Milwaukee Professionals Association Open for Business - March 1, 2014

City Center Milwaukee | Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC Signature Initiative - AHOD/All Hands on Deck, WE CAN starts with the seven (7) Kwanzaa Principles and RESPECT-4-RESPECT doctrines of the public square for Re-defining, Re-branding and UN-trapping hidden talent and vetted businesses at the census tract and neighborhood level for eradicating "by-design" Enduring Concentrated Poverty in urban cities, especially Milwaukee.
MPA LLC AHOD/All Hands on Deck, WE CAN Initiative
AHOD is an "action" initiative that seeks informed engagement for "Skin-the-Game" that is solidified and codified by the People, the public square, especially People of Color.  BUY-IN.

We remember the Kwanzaa themes (Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, Faith) and NEWLY added RESPECT-4-RESPECT doctrine throughout each month for building and substantiating the necessary infusion of capital investment by first the People and then their resources for the betterment of the census tracts and neighborhoods.   No one is exempt.

We seek LIKE-MINDS in forging the agenda of infrastructure change.

This month we will focus on:
  • Kujichagulia/Self-Determination - To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves;
  • Ujima/Collective Work and Responsibility - To build and maintain our community together and make our brother's and sister's problems our problems and to solve them together; and,
  • Ujamaa/Cooperative Economics - To build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.
Our 2014 special and year-long programs/projects include:

DEMO 10 NEIGHBORHOODS - City Center
Amani, Grandview/Walnut, Halyard Park, Harambee, Hillside, Metcalfe, Midtown, Riverwest, Sherman Park & WAICO/Y
MPA LLC 100 Census Tract & Neighborhood Businesses

Tag - City Center 10
City Center is the trendy name MPA LLC has chosen to identify the urban city of Milwaukee. The 10-Neighborhoods are the hot zones for MPA LLC 2014 model for urban health care at the census tract and neighborhood level.

City Center 10-Neighborhoods is the tag for MPA LLC 10-Neighborhood DEMO.  The 10 neighborhoods (Amani, Grandview/Walnut, Halyard Park, Harambee, Hillside, Metcalfe, Midtown, Riverwest, Sherman Park and WAICO/Y) have a population in excess of 66,000.   The areas are not complete with each neighborhood.  It is an extrapolation based on the boundaries of:
  • North  - LOCUST
  • South - VILET
  • East   - HUMBOLDT
  • West  - 60th STREET
The densely populated belt within Milwaukee has a rich and urban culture that reflects Milwaukee population as well as its People of Color untold history.  It is the neighborhood belt that MPA LLC has chosen to lead the charge in "unearthing", by-design, Enduring Concentrated Poverty.

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH VETTED BUSINESSES

DIAMOND In the Rough vetted businesses are those census tract and neighborhood businesses that have been "vetted" by the People with the "test-of-time" endorsement customer support.

Today's focus for MPA LLC is ease-of-access to laws and programs available to them.
It is exposure to and access of information technology, co-location networking and the economic marketplace for scale.   Recent programs like Our Brother's Keeper, voc ed training and employment, transportation engagement at the census tract and neighborhood level with Milwaukeeans and technology investment.

DIAMOND in the Rough vetted businesses are a No. 1 employer of stakeholders of the neighborhood.  They lack capital investment, connectivity to marketplace tools on an ongoing basis, linked and supported by the city government coffers, national funders with engagement for census tract and neighborhood level, and CDFI annual funds geared to empower economic and quality of life growth in the city of Milwaukee.

They also lack RESPECT of ENGAGEMENT by those elected-appointed-hired-volunteered-donor-for-hire represented.  Therefore, DISTRUST is rapport.

MPA LLC Class of 2014 - Born Frees/Millennials, American Leaders with "WOW"

City Center Milwaukee |  Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC has for the last 3 years visited the YGL/Young Global Leader model of the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland, and have been impressed with the energy created when like-minds come together willing to address individual issues that are global issues - how small the world really is even though we are over 7 billion (March 12, 2012) strong.

President Goodluck Jonathan - Nigeria
Africa
How the Mother Country Africa has a billion people today and is projected to have another 1 billion people by 2050.  How the wealth of Africa is expansive and the scene of opportunity. How countries like Nigeria and Ghana are on the world stage in Davos speaking of the continent's quality of life issues and economic development.

How  Africa has 6 of the top 10 economies in the world. How President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria is the richest man in Africa ($24 billion),   How President Jonathan is looking at his challenges and speaking to how to overcome day-to-day barriers that are the same problems in America at the census tract and neighborhood level.

Born Frees/Millennials
Born Frees/Millennials is MPA LLC American model debuting in 2014.  It is one of many projects in the re-defining, re-branding and UN-trapping hidden talent and vetted businesses at the census tract and neighborhoods in City Center Milwaukee - a rich oasis.

BFM uniquely takes the efforts of African American historic leaders and their pathways of genius seen in the 20th Century by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the millions who forged an agenda of "non-violence" in the face of "racist brutality" to rise to the 1963 March on Washington and laws changed.

Every human-civil-legal major petition since then - women, men, gender, race, immigration, education, housing, wage, class, have taken to the streets, in print, in gathering places, airways and in the halls of the courts with the guidance and pages of wisdom from the Book of We Shall Overcome.  It is the legacy of BFM who must reinforce with "enforcement" and "reform of laws" for true inclusion.

BFM also brings the legacy of Nelson Mandela and so many millions that removed Apartheid and are now advancing the pathway of Upscalability and Grandiosity for innovation in quality of life, economic development, democracy in land use, participation of its people and stewardship of wealth.  It is the Born Frees that will champion the cause from a NEW perspective.

"WE are excited about the range of Action projects put on the table for engagement for the due diligence of Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC AHOD/All Hands on Deck, WE CAN Smart Growth Initiative (2010-2020).   The Born Frees/Millennials Project focuses on niche populations going forward.  We know they will bring a NEW birth - Renaissance", said Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, MPA LLC.

Born Frees GEN Y - UCLA - Sy Stokes speaks Truth-to-Power Exclusion

November 13, 2013
UCLA - Los Angeles, CA |

UCLA Has More NCAA Championships Than Black Male Freshmen

Sy Stokes, junior, African American studies, UCLA, speaks out about the "institutional racism" on the campus of UCLA - University of California Los Angeles.  He and his fellow Born Frees Millennials shared their analysis of how they are NOT represented on a campus they were spending funds, chose to be their undergraduate alma mater, university that gained from their racial presence; and, a well-known university in a heavily People of Color city.  Their protest was through poem and  video.

Stokes is of a multi-racial background of African American, Cherokee/American Indian and Chinese/Asian.  He represents the growing Born Frees Gen Y Millennial population that represents integrated cultures and the patchwork of today's society.

Spoken Words
The eloquent words he speaks are "stinging" with truth-to-power and give numbers for clarity.
The words he speaks in the year of 2013 are the same equality and equity for African Americans spoken by UCLA and Black Panther students, John Huggins and Alprentice Carter in 1969.  They were both killed on UCLA campus in Campbell Hall, January 17, 1969.
The words by Stokes can be seen on TOO MANY campuses around the USA.  It further cripples USA overall economy and the USA to be competitive globally.  Competition that the GEN Y can use wisely.  It requires All Hands on Deck, WE CAN enforcement of best practices, transparency and accountable use of funding through bold and innovative reporting.

l-r:  Chancellor Gene Block - UCLA and Chancellor Michael Lovell - UW-Milwaukee
Jim Crow
In Milwaukee, MPA LLC have chronical the ongoing travesty of discrimination of training for African American in the city of Milwaukee public higher education.  The glaring oligopoly and monopoly take-over of funds generated by being in urban Milwaukee are at an all-time high for seizing real estate and public education funding at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (8th Chancellor, Michael Lovell).  Lovell isolation is aided by uninformed and informed staff, well-connected, elected-appointed-hired-donor for hire supporters.

Lovell chief selector recently resigned - UW System President Kevin Reilly - He abruptly resigned after $$millions were reported unreported for the UW System.

UCLA Chancellor Gene Block's lack of 21st century leadership is discriminatory.  It is cupable in the collateral damages being spoken in the verbal poem by Sy Stokes and fellow students.   Block's behavior is seen as identical to the discriminatory behavior of Chancellor Michael Lovell of the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
Going Forward
MPA LLC applaud these young men for standing up and providing a light on a serious and intended consequence for African American males.

We ask that they continue to pursue their degree (s) with honor.
We ask that they prepare to "take the places of Chancellor Block, Chancellor Lovell and others around the USA".
We ask that the GEN Y on college campuses join us in solidarity for their HEALTH CARE sign-up of the Affordable Health Care law.

We ask that they do not fall for the hype that is out there against the law.  Yes. there are glitches for the start-up site.  If we work together, in spite of the doomsayers, we can CORRECT the flaws.

Just like Sy Stokes and brothers are speaking out about the injustices at UCLA to make it better for them and those who come after, we ask that they go to Healthcare.gov and continue to go until they are in the system with their parents (up to 26 years) or as an individual.  Why?  Because being healthy is first and foremost to being a winner.

In fact, call upon Chancellor Block and other Chancellors to be responsible with campus health care center to provide up-to-date information and outreach for the NEW health insurance law.   You and your fellow brothers and sisters on campuses around the USA can add to your portfolio by becoming volunteers and/or employees for sharing the Affordable Health Care information.

Further, seek avenues for becoming part of th career track for the Health Care industry - it is one of the main 21st Century career tracks - no matter what is being said.

We can not sit idle and continue to give a "pass" to those we have in leadership that look in the camera and extol virtues they fail to implement.
