CITY-WIDE MILWAUKEE ||  This is Kwanzaa Week.

Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics): Build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and profit from them together.

The Fourth Principle is Ujamaa and is essentially a commitment to the practice of shared social wealth and the work necessary to achieve it.

Nia (nee-AH)
Purpose
To make as our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.

Practice Nia every day!

Principle #4-Ujamaa

Ujamaa means Cooperative Economics. This means that we should build and maitain our own stores, shops, and businesses. We should profit from them together.

Principle #5-Nia

Nia stands for Purpose. Our purpose should be to make our people and communities as great as they can be. We can do this by taking care of our homes and communities and developing the skills and knowledge of all our people.
