MPA LLC Honors Voting Rights Act - 50-Year Anniversary, It's personal

City Center Milwaukee | DAY 233 |  Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC announces its recognition and All Hands on Deck, WE CAN action for honoring the 1965 Voting Rights Act.  
  1. Passed by Congress February 26, 1869, and ratified February 3, 1870, the 15th amendment granted African American men the right to vote.
The additional assurance of African Americans Right to Vote even though the 15th Amendment of the Constitution was  already in place.  African American were yet being disenfranchised and not allowed the right of VOTE.

MPA LLC Voting Campaign 2015-16 is to remember and Keep Hope Alive.

On August 6, 2015, America will celebrate the 50-year mark of the Voting Rights Act.

The Voting Rights Act, signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson (1908-73) on August 6, 1965, aimed to overcome legal barriers at the state and local levels that prevented African Americans from exercising their right to vote under the 15th Amendment (1870) to the Constitution of the United States.
