BPRS Teaches Easy Media Relations Tips
Free to the Public
Milwaukee, WI (March 12, 2013) – The Black Public Relations Society (BPRS) will host a series of its signature event, How to Get Your Story Told, throughout the year. This first session of How to Get Your Story Told will focus on writing effective news releases and media advisories, on Saturday, March 23 from 11:00a.m.-1 p.m. at the Capital Drive Library, 3969 N. 74th St. This event is free and open to the public.
The How to Get Your Story Told series is designed to benefit nonprofits, churches, schools and small businesses by teaching them how to properly format and effectively write a news release and media advisory.
The session will feature a panel of Black Public Relations Society Milwaukee Chapter member professionals.
“We’ve found from the feedback of our October session that many in attendance had questions on what makes for a good news release and media advisory,” said Faithe Colas, BPRS board president. “We want to give those in attendance information to help communicate their message.”
This BPRS signature event will offer a Q&A segment and tools to write effective news releases and media advisories for print, broadcast, radio and social media.
