University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Vice Chancellor Joan Prince has been nominated by President Barack Obama to serve in the General Assembly of the United Nations as an Alternate Representative of the United States.
She is expected to receive the approval of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, a full Senate vote from the floor will come later this month. If all goes as stated, Dr. Prince will be sworn in by Ambassador Susan Rice on September 18, 2012 and she will begin duties later that day.
