All Hands on Deck, WE, Initiative - Citizen-Centered Services

MILWAUKEE (MPA) - Milwaukee Professionals Association has taken on the role of IT Neighborhood level change agent for "citizen-centered" engagements in IT/Information Technology in the city of Milwaukee.

We will tap into the residential, industrial, social and entrepreneurial spirit to place IT as the DNA in the quality of life and economic development infrastructure of customer care and self-sustainability.

We see CDFI/Community Development Financial Institutions, other financial institutions and health wellness leading the charge for the citizen-centered framework building.

We have taken a page from Dr. Farzad Mostashari's, National Coordinator for Health IT, US Health and Human Services - 2011 Health and Human Services Summit.

Namely, we will take a leap of faith during the next 45 days to jumpstart the Milwaukee 2012-2013 Challenge.  Our intentions include:

  • Announcements
  • Apps
  • Change the "paradigm"
  • Create collaboratives
  • Create "empowerment"
  • Create standards
  • Establish protocol - model privacy and security
  • Excitement/synergy
  • Issue Challenges and a Pledge
  • Liberate "human capital"
  • Policy updating
  • Savings
  • Show the way
  • Team forming
  • Unblock differences
  • Unleash  "hidden talent"
Stay tuned - Here we go.
We will start in a few weeks to begin the engagement and unleash the power of e-quality of life and economic development.
Mary Glass, Chair/CEO, said, "The city of Milwaukee can flourish BIG TIME with engagement of data sharing to improve their e-infrastructure of quality of life an economic development.  We are focusing on Milwaukeeans that are a composite of an individual(s) that live, work, raise families, go to school, invest in, pay taxes, rent, buy homes, create businesses and worship in Milwaukee."
