Meet at LAKE WHEELER

Being There – Reaching Out, Inc., a Wisconsin non-profit 501C3 all volunteer support group for the Wisconsin Families of our Fallen Armed Forces, is having an informal “1-mile “Walk/Run for the Fallen” at 10:00am on Sunday, August 19^st at the Zablocki VA Medical Center Milwaukee beginning at Lake Wheeler and ending at Wood National Cemetery. We will conduct a brief Memorial Ceremony to honor all our Fallen Armed Forces and those who are laid to rest at Wood National Cemetery. This will be followed with a Great Cook-Out for “ALL” back at Lake Wheeler Pavilion.

We are encouraging anyone, wherever they are, to go out and walk/run one mile for a Fallen Service Member killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Our goal is to again have all 50 states participate. Last year, there were over 8,300 participants in 45 states and two countries, walking and/or running a combined total of over 49,000 miles. Help us to continue to “Honor and Remember” our Service Members, bringing people and communities together.

Together, let us Walk/Run for the Fallen.
