Yahoo Press Release by Supervisor Gerry Broderick - December 19, 2011

MILWAUKEE - Today, Supervisor Gerry Broderick, 3rd District, released a very "to-the-point" statement of leadership regarding the too long "ARROGANCE" and "UN-AUTHORIZED" statements from the MMAC/Milwaukee Metropolitan Asssociation of Commerce.

Supervisor Broderick hit a triple here - he said (paraphasing), "on what authority are you genuine?

We at Milwaukee Professionals Association say "thanks, but no thanks".

Can we pipe this throughout the City of Milwaukee, Madison and the entire state/world?

MMAC EDUCATION PLAN LACKS EXPERTISE

Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee County Supervisor Gerry Broderick released the following statement regarding the education plan announced by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce (MMAC):

“It has been announced that members of the MMAC have devised a strategy to ‘close the education gap’ in the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). That’s nice of them to take such interest, but who elected them to make these decisions? Who do they represent? What type of special expertise do they have on education? Are they under the false impression that they’re on the MPS Board?

“As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Education Department, I would think that qualified educators would be the best source to develop such strategies, rather than a self-interested group of businessmen unschooled in educational matters. After all, we don’t go to plumbers for neurosurgery.”
