WILLIE LYNCH
Willie Lynch is a Caucasian character (man) known by
African Americans who sought ways to ensure that slave owners were able to
"keep slaves" on plantations instead of losing them to hangings and bodies
injured through tortured/beatings.
Lynch shared a scheme with Caucasian slaveowners. It was/is known as the Willie Lynch theory. The scheme would create "an advantage" for the Caucasian
slaveowners. Today we see systemic and infrastructural byproducts, i.e., discrimination,
and segregation.
It is the strategy of divisiveness
- "pitting African Americans against each other" for control - for animus/hostility
and zero-sum gain:
- old vs young.
- smart vs dumb.
- rich/well-off vs poor.
- educated vs uneducated.
- long hair vs short/no hair.
- privileges vs no privileges. *
- good hair vs bad/kinky hair.
- dark-skinned vs light-skinned.
* house slave vs field slave, supervisors vs non-supervisors, vist off-the-plantation vs non-visit, etc.
It was/is a form of control
that is done in a perpetual and continuous manner, it will through
"habit" creates a fulfilling pattern.
Today, the public square is filled with the Willie Lynch
theory. Unfortunately, we have African Americans and all others engaging
in his scheme as a form of control with intimidation, greed,
monopoly-oligopoly, and corruption.
