Dear MARY,
We want to let you know about some big changes ahead for Text4baby. On May 4, our operations will move to ZERO TO THREE, the National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families (ZTT). ZTT is a national, nonprofit organization that provides parents, professionals and policymakers the knowledge and know-how to nurture early development. ZTT will continue to operate Text4baby and ensure that this vital service continues uninterrupted in partnership with Voxiva, Inc. and our broad public-private partnership.
We have been able to make great strides with Text4baby during our past five years as an initiative of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB). Through innovation and unprecedented public-private partnerships, the free Text4baby service has reached nearly 900,000 pregnant women and new moms since 2010, providing customized information and tips they need to keep themselves and their babies healthy.
For more than 33 years, HMHB has been a leading voice for maternal and child health and safety, building and leveraging partnerships as a catalyst for change. In order to more effectively further its mission, the HMHB Board of Directors has decided to move many of its programs and initiatives to other organizations.
Our future is in good hands. Text4baby's knowledgeable staff and focus on health combined with ZERO TO THREE's emphasis and leadership in social and emotional well-being will create a powerful voice for babies and mothers.
Sincerely,
The Text4baby Team: Kathleen Murphy, Jessica Bushar, Lindsay Handelsman, Anna Hoff, Luisa Soaterna-Castañeda, Rachael Salley & Danielle Garfinkel |
