MPA LLC - Construction Tuesdays in Amani |
City Center Milwaukee | DAY 65 - People's Forensics - 2014 Invoked Atonement and Reparation | Construction is the major gig in the city of Milwaukee during the summer and weather-afford months of the year.
Multi-Million dollar projects spring up in Milwaukee with major federal funding, WHEDA/Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, MEDC/Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation, WISDOT/Wisconsin Department of Transportation , EB-5/Economic-Based Visa projects with tax credits, bond issues and other incentivizing resources.
Each of the sources are tied to raising the economic conditions in the city of Milwaukee. The federal-state-local wherewithal is glaring for this-and-that; however, the booty goes to all but Milwaukeeans, especially African American, other People of Color and the Work Challenged.
Downside of Acroynms
Not only are the Milwaukeeans left-out, they are reduced to too many acronyms (MBE-EBE-FBE-SBE) that pigeonhole census tract and neighborhood businesses. Unfortunately, the role call of acronynms are not fulfilled - are not seriously considered for Smart Growth "fingerprinting", "employment", "business development" at the "jump-off" of the project. They are "add-ons" to be left-out of "market share".
That's disenfranchisement - discriminatory and exploitative. We must get pass this type of "have-and-have nots" ideology - by best practice stewardship accountability.
Social Responsibility
Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC 4-Month Invoked Atonement and Reparation (April 7, 2014 through August 7, 2014) is spotlighting, requesting immediate address, seeking an acceleration and expansion of wealth-building contracts; and, for long-term sustainability, calling for regulations from those in government, and notifying Lady Justice through civil and criminal abatement.
Market share. Market share.
======================
African American, other People of Color and Work Challenged move to gain "market share" through Tuesday Construction Briefings in July, 2014.
Stay tuned.
