MILWAUKEE || Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC calls for supporters and well-wishers to send a Thank you AND Well-Wish for Year 1 to our first African American City Attorney in Milwaukee.
April 7, 2020 -April 12, 2021
It has been 12 months of surprise-after-surprise. City Attorney Tearman Spencer has been in office for 370 days.
His one year and five days speak of our global health pandemic with a 3-month bout with COVID.
Since Day 1, he has faced unwelcomed, disrespectful, and unwarranted "workplace conflict". Why?
They include:
- Failure to receive key staff personnel from the city of Milwaukee DER/Department of Employee Relations to run the department.
- Self-appointed and unauthorized staff commandeering activities of the department.
- Misrepresentation of the TRUTH by disgruntled staff.
- Questionable Sexual Harassment tags and premature investigation.
- No city of Milwaukee sexual harassment guidelines enacted for "ELECTED" city staff; i.e., mayor, each common council legislator, treasurer, comptroller, city clerk, etc.
- Less than 5 months in office, DER launched a one-sided investigation.
- The investigation is seen as bias and slanderous by DER (bogus and premature inquiries of comments taken out of "context" and outright lies given by some staff of the City Attorney department - an independent and joint Charter Officer of the city government).
- Sexual Harassment tag is given to city attorney while convening judge-jury rendering from DER a department with appointment and hired city staff.
