MARCH 1, 2020 || MILWAUKEE -
by Mary Glass
Life is so precious and fragile. ALL LIVES.
Our hearts pour solace for the tragedy on Ash Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Our thoughts go out to each of the families of the men who were killed.
And, WE quickly show our love for the wife and children of Anthony Ferrill, 51 who are left dismayed-shocked by the tragedy and have lost a husband and father.
We make a great and continuous mistake if the BREAKING NEWS stories that keep coming out do not include Ferrill's family. It is also deceptive to NOT report the reports that are in the public square about ongoing discrimination, racism, and harassment of Anthony Ferrill, an employee of Molson 17 years and a total of 20 years for Coors as we are finding out.
TELL IT ALL. It speaks to divisiveness. That's unacceptable. It does nothing to prevent the probability of this tragedy from happening again.
'Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. -Martin Luther King Jr.'

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2020
DAVID CROWLEY.
This is a SPECIAL TIME of change, opportunity, and Inclusiveness.

Chris Abele |
We have yet to know why Chris Abele, all-of-a-sudden, announced on October 16, 2019 (after saying he was running), he was no longer a candidate for the 2020 "Run for County Executive". He said he wanted more time with his 3 girls. Very suspicious.
His withdrawal allowed NEW BLOOD to enter the race. They were David Crowley, Chris Larson, Brian Kennedy, Jim Sullivan, Theodore Lipscomb & Purnima Nath.
L-R Top: CHRIS LARSON and THEODORE LIPSCOMBE L-R Bottom: PURNIMA NATH and DAVID CROWLEY |
Abele's announcement was "Surprise 1". It was soon followed by Surprise 2 of Brian Kennedy and Jim Sullivan removed from the ballot by a county judge due to improper signatures.
"It's no secret that one of the biggest issues facing Milwaukee County is a lack of resources. Every year we send more and more money to the state, yet the amount we get back continues to decrease," he told Patch.
"On day one, my administration will set out on a full-scale effort to remove our community from the top ten list of most segregated communities by the time I leave office. It isn't just the right thing to do, it is the only way to heal our divided community and move us forward, he said."
As a Millennial, 34 years old, his background includes academic study at UW-Milwaukee - Educational Policies and Common Studies and graduate of Bay View High School. His first introduction to Milwaukee County government and Wisconsin Senate government was as an aide while working in the office of Milwaukee County Supervisor and Senator Nikiya Harris Dodd.
His introduction to political campaigns was as the African American state-wide organizer for US Senator Russ Feingold.
Just as the announcement by Chris Abele was questionable, so are his RACIAL CLAIMS. His actions do not support his statement of Inclusion - check his administration, neighborhood county partnerships, heads of departments; and, the extended delay and "lack-luster" of the OAAA/Office of African American Affairs led by Nicole Brookshire.
Abele's delays/PAUSE for years after Supervisor Khalif Rainey introduced the program for service delivery while with Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. Chris Abele and Tom Barrett, mayor, of Milwaukee, delayed the program for years and PAUSED the Office of African American Affairs to be taken to the City of Milwaukee per the election of Alderman Khalif Rainey.

JIM SULLIVAN |
Additionally, on January 24, 2020, two (2) candidates were removed from the ballot for running for Milwaukee County Executive. They were Brian Kennedy (Glendale Mayor) and Jim Sullivan (Milwaukee County Director - Child Support Services).
***********************************
The February 18, 2020 results left David Crowley and Chris Larson as the Milwaukee County Executive Spring candidates.
***********************************
David Crowley said He sees the top two issues facing the county as a shortage of much-needed funding, and addressing racial inequities.
INCLUSION of a formidable African American candidate who offers HOPE to those who see the need of a straight-forward, hands-on and roll-up his sleeve candidate with a commitment for changes in quality of life and economic development in Milwaukee County government with the city of Milwaukee, the county site, as one of the Smart Cities of Milwaukee county.
He is a product of Milwaukee, growing up in zip code 53206 and experienced first-hand with Enduring Concentrated Poverty and the ills of drug-impacted families. He credits the Underground Railroad, a neighborhood organization, as his savior.

Listen up. Listen up. David Crowley is on the mike for your support
MADISON || 365 With Henry Sanders has a Talk with
Candidate David Crowley for County Executive of Milwaukee County.
Runoff tomorrow February 18, 2020.
============================
MEET Candidate Crowley
As a lifelong resident, Rep. David
Crowley knows as well as anyone that Milwaukee County is truly a tale of two
different counties. He has lived through many of the economic and racial
struggles that residents across this community face every day. He has also
experienced the joy of members of the community coming together to take care of
one another and make life better for us all.
Growing up in a working-class family
in Milwaukee’s 53206 neighborhood, David was no stranger to hardship. As a
child, David’s family moved around frequently, often as a result of evictions.
He lived in a home with multiple family members who suffered from mental
illness and drug addiction, and he saw first-hand the impact that these issues
have on our community. He knows the importance of making sure that Milwaukee
County residents are able to access treatment and support.
David credits the Milwaukee youth organization
Urban Underground for saving his life. He found a support network and a
community of people that cared about him, which put him on the path to public
service.
While still in high school, David
served as a Community Justice Coordinator with Urban Underground, giving him
his start in community organizing. He then joined AmeriCorps when he turned 18,
and worked with several other community organizations including Project Return,
Safe & Sound Inc., and COA Youth and Family Centers. David also worked as a
legislative aide for the Milwaukee County Board and the Wisconsin State Senate.
David’s attention then turned to his
own elected service, and he was elected in 2016 to serve Wisconsin’s 17th
Assembly District, representing almost 60,000 citizens in the State
Legislature.
In the Assembly, he has spent every
day fighting to make sure that all our community’s residents have a steadfast
advocate in the State Capitol. David Crowley has worked with legislators from
both sides of the aisle to pass legislation that benefits not only the
residents of his district, but people across Milwaukee County and the entire
State of Wisconsin.
David sits on the Energy and
Utilities, State Affairs, Workforce Development, and Transportation Committees
and is the ranking member on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.
He is the Chair of the Milwaukee Delegation, the Chair of the Black Caucus, and
the Co-Chair of the Black and Latino Caucus. He also serves as a member of the
Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Board of
Directors.
David is a member of numerous
community organizations including the ACLU, Milwaukee Urban League Young
Professionals, and the Milwaukee NAACP. He attended Bayview High School, the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and currently lives in Milwaukee with his
wife, Ericka, and his three young daughters.
David is running for Milwaukee County
Executive so that he can give back to the community that has given him so much.
Whether it’s getting people to and from work, providing health care services,
helping families find somewhere to live, providing recreational space, or
maintaining public safety; county government directly affects the daily lives
of every resident of Milwaukee County.
As County Executive, David Crowley
will do everything he can to make sure that residents across Milwaukee County,
no matter their background, get access to the services that they need and that
taxpayers are getting value for their dollar.
The non-partisan Primary Election
will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020, and the General Election is Tuesday,

February 16, 2020
MILWAUKEE || Meet Attorney Tearman Spencer, the best selection for City Attorney on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
*************************
Leader. An Engineer. A Lawyer. A Fighter for Justice.
Tearman Spencer has spent a career
fighting for justice and making sure people are safe. He’s overcome personal
adversity, achieving through hard work what doctors said wouldn’t be possible.
Now he’s ready to stand up and fight for the people of Milwaukee.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Spencer
earned an engineering degree from the University of Southern California and
became an award-winning safety engineer, focusing on transportation
infrastructure including dams, bridges, tunnels and rail systems, working all
over the country. He ensured maintenance on refineries was done safely, and
oversaw safety professionals on the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
Spencer was then diagnosed with a
degenerative condition that confined him to a wheelchair, and while striving to
recover, earned a Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate
University. He later received a Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison.
Spencer returned to Milwaukee and
opened a successful law practice, handling real estate and business cases, and
protecting individuals against big banks. More recently, he has focused on
defending the rights of consumers, and winning millions of dollars in
settlements and verdicts for his clients.
Spencer is committed
to community leadership, including serving on the board of Community
Brainstorming Conference and as a member of the
Felmers Chaney
Advisory Board. He also completed the FBI Citizens Academy and is active in the
FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.
Along the way, Spencer defied
expectations and learned to walk again.
With more than 30
years of leadership experience, Spencer is ready to run the City Attorney’s
office, a broad operation that oversees civil, criminal, and municipal law on
behalf of the people of Milwaukee.

For 75 years, all city employees with few exceptions had to live within Milwaukee boundaries. In 2013, the state Legislature passed a law that removed those requirements. It did allow for cities to require certain employees, including police and firefighters, to live within 15 miles of city limits.Mar 8, 2018

What say you, Chairman Hitt?
Tuesday, February 11, 2020
Beware. Republicans have opened an office on Dr. MLKing Drive, for trolling African Americans, especially African American men with 3-card monte votes for Trump
GOP Opens Office in Harambee |
Milwaukeeans in public policy advocacy know-how Republican Senator Ron Johnson has represented his GOP party, his elected office for Milwaukee, and Oath of Office during the Impeachment process. MPA-LLC and Indivisible have reached out many times for his leadership, Oath of Office responsibility, regarding RACIAL DISPARITIES and SMART GROWTH in Employment. He proved he was NOT Trustworthy. He NEVER RESPONDED.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2020
MILWAUKEE || Ron Johnson, WI U.S. Senator made time to come to Milwaukee’s Harambee Neighborhood on February 6, 2020, for the opening of the office of the Republican Party.
Harambee is an African American residential and commercial area in the 6th District of Milwaukee.
“It is Insulting that Republicans, led by cheerleader Gerard Randall, an African American Educator with hands-on knowledge about the throes of African American, People of Color and the Work Challenged in Milwaukee to act as if all is well,” said Mary Glass, Chief Visionary Officer, MPA-LLC.
Randall is seen as the Spook by the Door for Republicans and even a traitor given how OUTRAGEOUS we have seen Donald Trump behave toward African Americans and the Constitution. The myriad of lies. The disrespect for fellow Americans. Then, there are the chronic oppressive actions of the WI GOP regarding voting policies and gerrymandering.
We know it is NOT beneath Trump to “pay-to-play” for the 2020 election with NO lasting benefits for anyone but Trump.
"This is about welcoming part of the community, caring about the community, and we're looking forward and building for the future," Andrew Hitt, chair of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said. What is realistically being put on the table by the GOP with state statue results, right now benefits of Infrastructure without VOTING strings attached?
We know how lack of judgment by TRUMP got him the title of “IMPEACHED DONALD TRUMP” – Quid pro quo. We know of his vindictiveness, bullying, lying, disgrace, and "con". What makes the Republicans feel that District 6 believes what Gerard Randall and Andrew Hitt have quoted in this article?
Yes. The Republican Party will raise “glittering incentives” to persuade with smoke and mirror results. Show one-or-two results – clemency of life sentence for Ms. Alice Johnson (how about clemency for Ms. Johnson and all the others incarcerated with the same MO given a chance for freedom). Why not look at the backward rulings/laws, disproportionate numbers between the African American population and Caucasian population caught with cocaine and other drugs.
Mary Glass said, “Gerard Randall appears to be OK with being the flag-waver and token African American for carrying water for the GOP PARTY led by bullying Donald Trump.”
“It reminds me of 15 years ago when Gerard Randall was with the Private Industry Council (moved from Pleasant Street - Schiltz Complex to North Avenue Commerce Center, 27th & North, 1st Phase) under the oversight of Republican Scott Walker, County Executive; Randall exercised his bullying tactics when he forced my public policy business to move from the North Avenue Commerce Center, 27th & North, and broke an arrangement with H & R Block. Why? I do not know. My guess was my pointed advocacy against discrimination and enduring concentrated poverty of African Americans, Other People of Color and Work Challenged Milwaukeeans. Randall threatened H & R Block with loss of their lease if they did not break the arrangement with my company and my space arrangement.”
“Needless to say, the Trust factor of Randall and GOP Party opening of the District 6 office at this time is seen by me as divisive and untrustworthy.”
The same is true for the Joseph Project that Ron Johnson, WI Senator, has used as a feather in his cap for the less fortunate. His refusal to respond to correspondence and the “gag” order of the minister at 55th and Center was quite surprising. Especially since Pastor Jerome Smith’s Joseph Project was “RIGHT-ON/SPOT-ON” for scaling the eradication of Enduring Concentrate Poverty with matching gainful employment with “dependable transportation” (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE) and removal of barriers for the unemployed. The scaling is/was identified by MPA-LLC as part of the All Hands on Deck Initiative (2010-2020) for at the census tract impact of poverty.
“The opening of the District 6 office rings hollow in integrity and REMINDS us of episodes of the present and past that have been very divisive,” said Glass
On February 10, 2020, Trump released his budget with “gutting Medicare” - $1 trillion dollar cut.
For a review of Trump’s behavior and decency check,
An Oral History of Trump’s Racial Bigotry, Story by David A. Graham, Adrienne Green, Cullen Murphy, and Parker Richards.
We cannot be misled. Donald John Trump has disrespected the office of President. He makes no bones about his racism, discriminating policies, misrepresenting (lying) the truth,
Republicans are after African American men. Do not be a fool.
“Republican Party of Wisconsin will pursue every vote in this state by engaging every voter," said Gerard Randall of the Republican Party of Wisconsin African American Council.
Opening the office in Bronzeville is part of the campaign for African American voters.
"This is about welcoming part of the community, caring about the community, and we're looking forward and building for the future," Andrew Hitt, chair of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said.
What does Gerard Randall, Ron Johnson, Andrew Witt, Amelia Heup, and other Republicans bring to your table for bargaining for your precious vote District 6?
What about the GERRYMANDERING?
What about the many times of oppressing the vote?
What about the failure to respond to contact and Oath of Office?
What about the in-your-face disregard by Robin Vos & Scott Fitzgerald at WI State Capitol for equity of quality of life and economic development for African Americans in Milwaukee?
What is the Republican Party doing for families mired in the incarceration of zip code 53206 in Milwaukee?

Senator Doug Jones says he will vote Wednesday to convict President Trump on both articles of impeachment.
Jones addressed the Senate Wednesday morning.
Jones issued this statement:
“On the day I was sworn in as a United States Senator, I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. At the beginning of the impeachment trial, I took a second oath to do ‘impartial justice’ according to the same Constitution I swore to protect.
“These solemn oaths have been my guides during what has been a difficult time for our country, for my state, and for me personally. I did not run for Senate hoping to participate in the impeachment trial of a duly-elected President, but I cannot and will not shrink from my duty to defend the Constitution and to do impartial justice.
