BALWIN & MOORE - Poised for 113th Congress

MILWAUKEE - (MPA-LLC), January 2, 2013 - Wisconsin has two (2) women that were over 76% favorites in the November 6, 2012 election in the city of Milwaukee.

They have broad backgrounds that are seasoned and typical of today's constituents of America.

Wisconsin U.S. Senator-Elect
Tammy Suzanne Green Baldwin - 50 years in age, Caucasian, 1st woman U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, 1st openly Gay elected U. S. Senator, an attorney, U.S. Congresswoman, 2nd District (13 years) - Wisconsin U. S. Senator-Elect Tammy Baldwin - Democrat Party.

She won a heated and money-charged 2012 campaign by defeating Republican Tommy Thompson - past governor (4 terms) and past U.S. Health and Human Service Secretary (2001-2005).  She received 212,150 votes, 76.75% of Milwaukee votes.

U.S. Senator-Elect Baldwin was first elected to political office in 1986 when she was elected to the Dane County Board of Supervisors, a position that she held until 1994. She also served for one year on the Madison City Council.

For fifteen years, her domestic partner was Lauren Azar, until the couple separated in 2010.

Wisconsin U.S. Congresswoman

Gwendolynne Sophia "Gwen" Moore - 61 years of age, African American, mother - the first woman to represent the 4th district (Milwaukee, South Milwaukee, Cudahy and part of West Allis).
U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore - 4th District - Democratic Party.
She is the second woman and the first African-American elected to Congress from Wisconsin.  Tammy Baldwin was the first woman elected from Wisconsin.

U.S. Congresswoman Moore was a Wisconsin State Senator (1993-2005) for two (2) terms.  Prior to serving as State Senator of the 4th District for Milwaukee, she is known for a culturally rich, broad and recognized actvisim that included organizing and leadership abilities.  In the November 6, 2012 election, she received 201,353votes, 76.63%.

She is the mother of 3 children.
