“The increase in overdose deaths and widening disparities are alarming,” said CDC Acting Principal Deputy Director Dr. Debra Houry, M.D., M.P.H. “Overdose deaths are preventable, and we must redouble our efforts to make overdose prevention a priority. We will continue to support and work collaboratively with communities like we do with CDC’s Overdose Data to Action (OD2A). Providing tailored tools and resources to combat overdose and address underlying risk factors will ultimately help reduce health disparities and save lives.”

USA/MILWAUKEE || Chairman Rickey (RP) Potts, BID 39, has been documenting and singing the song of the need for a spotlight on the "drug" trade, GOVERNMENT SURVEILLANCE,  and use of drugs by the citizenry for many years.

Murphy has repeatedly used funds brought/sent to Milwaukee to service Milwaukeeans. The city of Milwaukee's core constituents is African Americans and other People of Color.

Murphy has discriminated against African Americans and other People of Color since the inception of the Heroin/Opiates Initiative.

This includes the very first organizing meeting held in Milwaukee, only Caucasians were summoned  - outside the city of Milwaukee.

Why is he deliberately DISCRIMINATING - avoiding African Americans?  What's wrong with this guy? 

It is NOT OK.  We must see that we REPLACE Murphy come 2024.  

International Overdose Awareness Day

Tomorrow, August 31, 2022, is International Overdose Awareness Day.  The message is about the tragedy of drug overdose death and that drug overdose is preventable.

We can take this violation and turn our efforts into appropriateness by seeing that we connect law and order first and foremost.

The goals of International Overdose Awareness Day are:

• To provide an opportunity for people to publicly mourn
  loved ones in a safe environment, some for the first time without feeling guilt or shame.
• To include the greatest number of people in International Overdose Awareness Day events, and encourage non-denominational involvement.
• To give community members information about the issue of fatal and non-fatal overdose.
• To send a strong message to current and former people who use drugs that they are valued.
• To stimulate discussion about overdose prevention and drug policy.
• To provide basic information on the range of support services that are available.
• To prevent and reduce drug-related harm by supporting evidence-based policy and practice.
• To inform people around the world about the risk of overdose.

MILWAUKEE || "WRONG SIDE OF TRACK" TEST - Mary Glass, Chief Visionary Officer, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC (MPA-LLC)  invites Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Transportation Infrastructure, to provide a hands-on "due diligence" test with the heirs-stakeholders-taxpayers-core constituents of the city of Milwaukee - Milwaukee Population in 2022 is estimated to be 574,220, covers area of 96 sq miles. 

Over the decades, Milwaukee has been referenced for the "wrong side of the track" issues.  They have been connected to redlining, discrimination, segregation, and gentrification.  It is on one hand referenced as a "Gamma city" (link small regions economically), "gateway to business in Wisconsin" while being seen as the worst place for African American families to live in America due to civil rights violations and segregation.

"We bring a multitude of issues and incidents that proves the point of the racist term of "wrong side of the track".  It is an opportunity for clarity, discovery, and a spotlight for change" to which the spotlight can and will do wonderous for the right side of the infrastructure of transportation for our city and other cities with same stigma", said Glass.

WISCONSIN/MILWAUKEE | Infrastructure changes in TRANSPORTATION are needed for public transportation for Milwaukeeans traveling to work, school, health care, shopping, and social use.  

In fact, issues of having an automobile, auto insurance, and a driver's license prevent employment.

Pet projects by elected, appointed, hired, and donor-for-hire government representatives refuse to use federal transportation funding to improve the quality of life and economic development for Milwaukeeans, i.e., The Hop in downtown Milwaukee.

Additionally, Milwaukee's history of discrimination and segregation is seen in how African Americans, other People of Color, and Work Challenged families are denied their civil rights.

The creation of Interstate 43 deliberately destroyed the quality of life and economic development of African Americans in Milwaukee.

Kohlheim, in her email, said the complaint was submitted by a “confidential source.” It was also submitted to the Office of Lawyer Regulation, Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, Milwaukee Police Association, and a handful of city departments.

City Attorney Tearman Spencer and a number of his top deputies face a 27-page complaint that alleges a variety of violations including embezzlement, cash kickbacks, waste and abuse, knowingly making false statements, and fraudulently signing names of attorneys in documents filed with courts.

That’s according to a May 16 email from city inspector general Ronda Kohlheim to members of the Common Council.

1. Stocks look to bounce back Stock futures rose Thursday morning, as markets looked to shake off Wednesday’s declines. The down day snapped the Dow’s five-session winning streak, too, and the S&P 500 looks like it may not notch a fifth-straight winning week. Investors are processing a couple days of big retail earnings, particularly from Walmart, which showed resilience as inflation-weary shoppers traded down, and Target, which suffered a big blow to profits as it worked through loads of unwanted inventory. The Fed minutes also factored in (more on that below). Market watchers on Thursday will also chew over new existing home sales and weekly unemployment claims data.   2. Get used to rate hikes The Federal Reserve is prepared to keep hiking rates until inflation comes down in a big way, according to minutes released Wednesday from the central bank’s policy-setting committee last month. The Fed raised rates by three-quarters of a point in June and July, and another increase is expected when Chairman Jerome Powell and others on the Federal Open Market Committee meet again in September. The minutes did, however, indicate that the Fed could ease off rate increases if central bankers see that their tighter policy is successfully fighting the four-decade-high inflation with which consumers are grappling. Gas prices have come down a bit, helping ease the rate of inflation, but the Fed and markets alike are looking for signs that it’ll keep sliding.

No joy in meme-ville Bed Bath and Beyond shares tumbled double digits after hours when it became clear that Ryan Cohen, the activist investor and meme stock maven, filed paperwork proposing to sell his entire stake in the troubled retailer. It’s not clear whether Cohen, who recently owned more than 11% of Bed Bath shares, actually sold anything. The filing became public late Wednesday, and it followed a Tuesday filing that said Cohen’s firm, RC Ventures, owned more than 9.4 million shares of Bed Bath. The news set off a furor on the Wall Street Bets Reddit message board, where Bed Bath has become a favorite of the meme stock crowd. “Of course he didn’t sell,” one user said. “He’s an ape like us.” Shares of the company are up more than 300% this month.   4. CDC cops to Covid failures The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention admitted after an internal review that it didn’t respond quickly enough to the spread of Covid. So, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said she would reorganize the agency to address its failures. Among the objectives: improving the speed of data-sharing and making guidelines simpler and less confusing for the general public. “For 75 years, CDC and public health have been preparing for Covid-19, and in our big moment, our performance did not reliably meet expectations,” the CDC director said in a statement.   5. An EV packed with Detroit muscle Meet the Charger Daytona SRT. It’s not quite a car. It’s a concept. But Dodge wants fans of its soon-to-be discontinued Challenger and Charger muscle cars to know that an electric replacement is on its way in 2024. As the autos market moves away from gas engines to battery-powered electric vehicles, companies, particularly the Big Three in Detroit, are looking for ways to preserve their legacy as creators of high-performance cars that drive both quickly and powerfully. Think Steve McQueen’s 1968 Ford Mustang GT in “Bullitt,” the Dodge Challenger in 1971 cult classic “Vanishing Point” and, more recently, the nitrous oxide-boosted street racers in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
