Langston - Negro Poet Laureate

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

February 1, 1902 – May 22, 1967
- "Poet Laureate of the Negro Race"
If he was with us, he would be celebrating this month 99 years.
