DIANNIA MERRIETT
Ms. Dianna Merriett, Chanese's Mom, went on record with her expectations of/from the Greendale School District as well as solutions of justice for her daughter and others through the assistance of The American Civil Liberties Union.  So far, the ACLU has filed a discrimination complaint on behalf of Chanese and her mom.

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a discrimination complaint with the Greendale School District, alleging it is violating federal law by failing to address a racially hostile environment in its schools.

The complaint, filed on behalf of a 16-year-old African-American student and her mother, details a series of incidents over the current school year, including the repeated use of racial slurs and racially hostile language and the sharing of offensive videos by students, including some as young as fifth grade.

Chanese is 16 years old and a junior at Greendale High School.

  • She was violated by an identified Caucasian female student.
  • She - Chanese was suspended.
  • She was stripped of participation in all Homecoming events, and swimming activities.
  • The Superintendent imposed a "BLACK MARK" against Chanese Academic code.   This has a great effect on her ability to get a SCHOLARSHIP.
