Halprin over-the-top crudeness - Calling the President a Name
MSNBC, Morning Joe - Mark Halperin, editor-at-large and senior political analyst for TIME, covers politics, elections and government for the magazine and TIME.com. Halperin is also the creator and author of TIME.com’s “The Page,” a news and analysis tip sheet that gathers and edits the latest political stories, campaign ads, TV clips, videos and campaign reactions from every news source, along with Halperin’s own analysis. In addition, Halperin is senior political analyst for MSNBC, where he appears regularly on "Morning Joe" and other programs on the cable channel.
This is another news article I just had to weigh-in on.
This is definitely a Shame on You; but, it is more than that. I think the level of promiscuity in speech-open discussion, civility be damned, and plain ole disrespect has reached a level with many people that tells us we need to all draw a long-breath and begin to put-in-check en masse bad behavior such as Mark Halperin.
As I viewed the video of the Morning Joe show, I watched people who are suppose to be responsible adults, professionals on their job and representing the network of NBC, respectful of self and others as a code of self-ethics, first to want to say they are all this-n-that; but they engage in tomfoolery and successfully got Halperin to go over the top with bufoonery and they-themselves engaged in high jinks unique to teen agers with laughter.
Halperin's The Page gives his who's who of definition of who he is. It is a far cry from how he is seen going forward. I wonder what kind of role model and grown-up symbol he sent to the students, faculty and staff of St. Anselm College. He is amember of a board on that campus.
We must all do so much better to make the world we live in more accountable in best practices of "civility".
Let's see how he is disciplined in the press and countryside; but, most of all how he handles his remorse - if there is remorse.
