WHY SHOULD WE, THE PEOPLE BELIEVE the City of Milwaukee COMMON COUNCIL?

THEN
NOW

15 DISTRICTS
TOP ROW:  L-R, District 11, District 5, District 9 & District 2
ROW 2:  L-R - District 13, District 1, District 6, & District 14
ROW 3:  L-R - District 8, District 3, District 15, & District 10
ROW 4:  L-R - District 7, District 12 & District 4
Get to know them by memory - ALL of them.
The LOCKSTEP UNANIMOUS VOTERS

LEADERSHIP

- ACCOUNTABILITY - PUBLIC CONFIDENCE

WE, THE PEOPLE have been taken advantage of by members of the Common Council with their LOCK STEP "Unanimous" lie of "It's OK because I/WE said so".

WHY IT'S A LIE

It is a LIE because EACH of the 15 members is a hired/elected Charter member to represent the BEST INTEREST of the people who reside within the 96.8 square miles.  They consist primarily of CORE CONSTITUENTS that are

  • African Americans
  • Other People of Color
  • the Work Challenged.

THERE SEEMS TO BE AN AUTOCRATIC RULING ON TAVERNS, SPORTS BARS, CAFES/RESTAURANTS,  AND MIXED INVESTMENT IN PEOPLE OF COLOR NEIGHBORHOODS.

SOME CHARTER MEMBERS ARE JUST INSULTING AND NEED TO TAILOR THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS AND DECISIONS TO A MORE APPROPRIATE DISCUSSION WITHOUT "SELF-RIGHTEOUS" INDIGNATION AND CRONYISM FILLED WITH CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

WE, THE PEOPLE, will provide examples of behaviors that are frowned upon.

WE START WITH TWO (2) CASES.

CASE #1

VINCE G. Toney is with Feliceano Barnes and 78 others.

Reggie Moore, Jamaal E. Smith
Mr. Moore,
The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) was established in 2016, which you’ve headed. As well, 414LIFE is headquartered in AldermanicDistrict #1, which is under the umbrella of OVP. I’ve been the Blockwatch lead since well before your organization was established, why haven’t you or your team established a relationship with our members? Who by the why 99.5% of them are our/your elders. If you need evidence of their concern for our community, please review the 2017 Common Council liquor license hearing whether to revoke the liquor license of the Hot Spot, see attached. After one of our elder Blockwatch member’s testimony, she has since stated to me, “Vince I don’t know why you do what you do in the community, they gonna do what they wanna do anyway.” I’ve been a member of the Blockwatch for close to 20 years, Alderman Hamilton claims he works with Blockwatch members, not ours. Since I’ve been a member, he his only attended one meeting. Somebody spying on our meetings evidently got word to Hamilton that our members would be at the 2017 liquor licensing hearing, which we were. For the first and last time since I have been a member, he came to our meeting with the owner of the store petitioning us to not advocate against the store. Long story short our members voted to give the storeowner a chance. We still attended the hearing, at which we informed the licensing committee of our story about that meeting with the alderman and storeowner.
I met with the 414LIFE team, please tell me why for close to a year, they had not reached back to me? I represent the Coalition for Hope Block Watch. Our members dictate to me their needs, which I represent.
Our Blockwatch, before the pandemic, has a neighborhood cookout every 3rd Saturday in August. Over the years we’ve partnered with Eaton Corporation and DRS providing entertainment, at times we’ve feed over 300 in our community. Each year, we’ve handed out minimally between 110 to 125 book bags full of schools supplies. Since my involvement with the Blockwatch, never once has the Alderman Hamilton attended, that I remember, nor your organization. Why hasn’t OVP or 414LIFE participated? Since yourself and Mr. Smith chimed in on my last post, please provide your feedback to this group on this subject matter.
Although yourself and member of your team appear to be taking this personally, as does the Alderman, this ain’t about Vince G. Toney. I represent the voice of my Blockwatch members. Now if you or Alderman Hamilton even the Mayor want to set up a Zoom meeting, that would be ideal. There is no shame in our member’s game, they will give y’all an ear full of questions and demands, which I have been listening to for years. This isn’t personal, yet it is personal, I’m genuinely concern about our children and elders quality of life, and their future existence in Milwaukee; but I mainly represent Garden Homes.
I’ve been threatened, my property has been damaged, and my wife has felt unsafe, there is videos proof. I absolutely hate having to say anything about me, I’d rather be in the background. If Phelps, looking in from the outside only knew my involvement in Garden Home and our community...
I have stories about my encounters with leaders supposedly representing the best interest of Aldermanic District #1, they ain’t all that pretty.
Please review the attach 2017 hearing, line item 15 of the agenda. Pay particular attention to one of our elder Blockwatch member’s testimony. Based on the Blueprint for Peace, how has the OVP intervened on behalf of Garden Homes where 414LIFE is headquartered?
Respectfully,
Vince G. Toney

CASE #2

Presented by Consultant Mary Glass

MC COLE - Property Owner, Investor
CAME TO THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE WITH  $88,000 to kickstart his mixed-used investment.  He was "wrongfully"  BLOCKED by RUSSELL STAMPER II - ALDERMAN 15TH DISTRICT.  Stamper and LOCK STEP UNANIMOUS colleagues literally "bankrupted" MC COLE of investments.

Notice he did not come asking for a handout from coffers like TANDEM (down the street - Caucasian with Walnut Way).  Did not come asking for TIF - Tax Increment Financing.
He waited his term as was lead to believe by the City Clerk's office and the License Committee 2014 - YOU can see most of the culprits are gone. However, Stamper and Coggs are yet there. They were the two (2) main ones who have brought DISGRACE to MC COLE and to this body.
WHAT SAY YOU 2021 COMMON COUNCIL?

Why should we believe the lockstep unanimous voters?

Larry and Sharon Adams - Walnut Way
Larry and Sharon Adams are property owners next to MC COLE.
It was evident that Alderman Stamper has selected Sharon and Larry Adams/Walnut Way and Virginia Duprest (in video) as his decision makers and dictators for the rest of the 15th District. We say no.  This is America.  There are laws and rules.  We expect the laws of due process to prevail as the guidepost for all.  Not just for the favorites.

M C COLE, property owner and investor, right to due process was put on HOLD by Russell Stamper II and the other four members of the License Committee.

MC COLE, property owner and investor, bought the property with improving the neighborhood in mind.  His 3-part development in the hospitality industry brings a minimum of 10 jobs, along with mentorship, internship and apprenticeship training. He deserves our support - not our arrogance or behavior of deception.  And, certainly not the behavior seen over the last week.
=========================
By the way, "Sabir" in the video is the son-in-law of Larry and Sharon Adams.  He fabricated the possibility of trouble at MC COLE's proposed tavern. He's the one that got the NOD for the North Avenue Juicer that ran amuck.  His wife is the co-founder of the so-called African American Sherman Phoenix.  Check the records.  This is STAMPER Live.
