U.S. CONGRESS - HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE and SENATE | The U.S. Constitution provides the citizenry of the United States of America a method by which to Investigate and Indict (bring up on charges - formally accuse) the President of the USA. There are two formal steps designated for the Members of Congress (MOC) - those we elect at the federal level.
Removal
The Removal of Donald John Trump requires a 2-step process of Impeachment and guilty vote.
The Impeachment investigation is conducted by the members of the House of Representatives.
Impeachment requires "Articles of Impeachment" (charges).
Impeachment requires Articles of Impeachment - formal charges that speak to the Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors (reasons for Impeachment). View 3 Impeachment Articles for Richard Milhous Nixon, 37th President,
These charges are voted on by the House of Representative. A simple majority vote determines Impeachment. The process then goes to "Trial" for Removal.
The Trial is conducted by the Senate (2/3 votes to convict; otherwise it is an acquittal). Senators are sworn as jurors for review of the charges. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides.
The U.S. Constitution provides the way.
The Constitution, Article II, Section 4 - The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason (the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government) , Bribery (the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official or other people in charge of a public or legal duty), or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors (up for interpretation in Articles of Impeachment).
This is a time-consuming process. We ought not delay any longer with the loose-cannon actions of Donald John Trump,
We can not waste time.
We can not get caught up in "denying" and "misguided loyalties".
This country for centuries forward will have hell to tell the deacon for the many many wrongful acts being exacted by Trump now and in the past 2 years.
