Reason to Vote 101Milwaukee has 346,297 registered voters. For the November 2016 election, the turnout of registered voters was 247,836. That meant 98,461 did not vote.
That was four times the number of folks Candidate for President Hilary Clinton needed in Wisconsin to win. The difference of Donald John Trump (1,405,284) and Hilary Clinton (1,382,536) was 22,748 votes. The possibility is more because all eligible voters were not "registered".
The Electoral process is how we put folks in office.
Milwaukeeans must take control of their destiny at the BALLOT BOX - for starters,
WE MUST REGISTER.
WE MUST VOTE.
WE MUST PUT CANDIDATES IN "all" OFFICES.
WE MUST REMOVE ELECTED & APPOINTED THAT FAIL TO HONOR THEIR OATH.
WE MUST RUN FOR OFFICE.
To get the ball rolling. We must connect with all eligible non-voters, the first-time voter, the ex-prisoner and ex-veteran voter, young adults, moms, dads, aunt, uncle, grandpa, and grandma and spread HOPE through Awareness-Intersectionality-Sanctuary and Solidarity.
We are experiencing very critical times.
Our lifeline to health care and remaining alive is being marginalized instead of being improved. It is being REMOVED rather than improving access. Insurance companies are being pushed to the wall due to lack of certainty. This is by design to "misrepresent" the Affordable Health Care act. Twenty-four million folks are at the door of NO insurance with this GOP scam. Your Silence is NOT an OPTION.
Milwaukeeans need HOPE and a starting point of ASPIRATION-building for solidarity engagement for their rights as citizens of the United States - as individuals entitled to health care, gainful employment, affordable housing, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, access to the wide web, safety in and outside of our homes, disposable income, modern environments of choice in the 21 Century, TRUST in the electorate system and all rights restored after serving incarceration time.
We have two dates for YOU to STOP this wrong by adding your voice. Your awareness.
==========
You are Invited. Reserve your seat now. Limited seating.
