The staffed drop boxes were implemented following the state Supreme Court's February ruling against unmonitored ballot drop boxes. "I'm just so upset that, across the board, people are not concerned more about all these barriers to voting. There's such a concerted movement," said Howard Austin, a retired Milwaukee Area Technical College professor, as he was leaving Zeidler after early voting. "People are dying for the right to vote around the world."

As early voting concluded Saturday afternoon, more than 25,000 Milwaukee residents already had
cast their ballots, including 8,500 who voted in-person at locations throughout the city, said Claire
Woodall-Vogg, executive director of the Milwaukee Election Commission.
