SUNDAY POLITICS - Public Policy Matters - Politics & Politicians Accountability

JUNE 25, 2018
CITY-WIDE MILWAUKEE || Sunday Politics - Sunday Politics is an article about how the politics of Milwaukee EXCLUDE the Core Constituents.

 ===================
2020 DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION
Milwaukee is one of the three (3) cities being finalized for acceptance for the 2020 Democratic Convention.

"I don't think so," said Mary Glass, Chair/CEO/CVO Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC.

"Why?"  "The Core Constituents - African American, other People of Color, and Work Challenged electorates were EXCLUDED in the approval for the DEM Party to come to Milwaukee in 2020 by Alex Lasry - wealthy neophyte son of Bucks owner Marc Lasry and short-term staffer for the Barack Obama administration.  Lasry waltzed Caucasians in a downtown meeting and claimed acceptability of OUR city to be used.  Perhaps his lack of negotiation skills, bias, eliteness, detachment and lack of etiquette made him do it.  However, Glass said, He was flanked at a press conference with Tom Barrett, mayor of Milwaukee, U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore, 4th District, and Tim Sheehy, Chair, MEDC & President of MMAC.
Barrett is seen as untrustworthy given his track record as mayor for 12 years and his "Greater Milwaukee" push - outliers and Caucasian groups (MMAC-Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce, Milwaukee 7, MEDC/Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation and MKE United) have created a monopoly-oligopoly stronghold of Milwaukeeans city coffers, federal funds, and regulations.

Barrett's EXCLUSION of the African American population is vividly seen in today's tabloids - lacking credibility in water - lead/soil/laterals, police safety - murders, excessive bad behavior and cover-up of police wrongdoings, veto-override disagreement with Common Council; massive Caucasian-only real estate developments, mega Milwaukee Bucks deal (left citizenry with 27-30-year involuntary servitude underwriting - NO agreed compensation for a city mired in Enduring Concentrated Poverty),  misuse of transportation funding with streetcar, east-west BRT support, and million dollar developments downtown for real estate while Milwaukeeans remain homeless and affordable housing elusive (i.e., GMAR/Greater Milwaukee Association of Realty, Collier's International, Moderne, and Couture).  GMAR just completed a showcase of $1.7, $1.12 & $1.17 million dollar condos/Diggs in downtown Milwaukee, June 2, 2018 - REALTORS® Host Downtown Diggs.

Who are you referencing Tom?
The Renaissance you are talking about is NOT for Milwaukeeans - the owners/electorates of the city.

Don't you remember September 15, 2015, this was a bragging lunch of folks who were well-off talking about how they were going to make plenty of money?

You and Chris Abele welcomed Sandy Botcher, Northwestern Mutual, Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Michael Fascitelli, Johnson Controls CEO Alex Molinaroli, Greg Marcus, chairman and CEO Marcus Corp, Bob Monnat, Partner Mandel Group, Chairman  Emeritus John Daniels, Quarles & Brady LLP at the Pfister Hotel luncheon - Caucasians galore.  You all talked about the downtown ONLY.  You had the folks you consider important.

Why would Milwaukeeans - Core Constituents get excited about an arena you hoodwinked 30 years of underwriting from them (Cheaper to Keep Them Scam) and nothing to show for it.  The money revenue for showing off the arena will not help our public schools, employment base, broadband for underserved user, affordable housing ( you took our resources and gave it to the real estate/developer barons who have $million dollar condos, what hotels do you have working with the neighborhoods), what health activities have been provided for us by you?  So, when you look in the camera and speak, it is like hearing Donald John Trump.  You can NOT believe it.

The U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore also signed on.  It is important to note that her personal endorsement did NOT speak for the core constituents or her 4th District congressional constituents.  To think so is Misleading.

Tim Sheehy, MMAC & MEDC is the poster for wheeling and dealing WITHOUT the endorsement of African American, other People of Color and Work Challenged voters. His group forced out the women's labor group, 9-5. His strength lies with the fortress support in :
  • Greater Milwaukee Committee
  • Milwaukee 7
  • Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation
  • Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce.
A Caucasian man who has been given and taken "super privileges".  He does NOT speak for those that the DEMS need to vote in 2020.

We are sure he will have mega deals for the DEMS while they are here.  By the way, MMAC is an EB5-VISA representative for the area.  Somehow, we have not been able to get information of their due diligence with African American, other People of Color and the Work Challenged stakeholders (they represent the population that makes his certification legitimate).

It is also important to know he represents the "Green" Party, not DEM Party.

DEMS need African American votes.
DEMS need other People of Color and Work Challenged votes.
We, Milwaukeeans, want to know what's in it for us once you come to our city.

When and where do you see the REAL Milwaukeeans?
What points of EMPLOYMENT are available for Milwaukeeans - residential, commercial and industrial stakeholders?
What bargaining chips do the National Dems have that will linger with Milwaukeeans past the days of the Convention?
What economic and digital value/fingerprint will be in the 15 districts of Milwaukee - especially the central city, south and far north?
What can we expect in the platform for INCARCERATION?
What can we expect in the platform for BROADBAND?
What can we see/expect to leverage billion dollar corporations such as Foxconn?
What can we see in legislation to combat wrongdoing of police? What can we see in INCLUSIVENESS of the WI Dem Party?

What can we expect with Federal Communication Commission, telecoms-Spectrum, AT&T, Verizon and others for Broadband?

The WI DEM party is TOO Caucasian-oriented.
The DEM party is TOO divisive against Milwaukeeans - burbs, other counties.

Where is U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin for issues that affect disproportionate numbers of African American and other People of Color?  Her ads are basically devoid of African American.

Where is U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore when Tom Barrett and the DEMS forget her "true" constituents?  We expect her to SPEAK UP and SPEAK OUT.  It is NOT happening.

The number of Milwaukeeans that failed to vote in the last Presidential election was enough plus to have slam-dunked Donald John Trump.  Seems like this UNWISE and DISRESPECTFUL game-plan needs RE-THINKING Big-Time.

Your visits to the city of Milwaukee MUST include the above.

Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC plans to hold you accountable by VOTING MEANS necessary.
