CITY OF MILWAUKEE || 96.8 Square Miles, 15 Aldermanic Districts. The population is majority People of Color - African Americans, American Indian, Asian, and Latino. They represent a huge population of Milwaukeeans that are Work Challenged - underpaid and overworked with wages below market level livable wages - lack family-income wages.
The citizenry of Milwaukee works 2-3 jobs but still can not press clear of Enduring Concentrated Poverty that has the city trapped and mired without an economic base. There is a mixture of incomes that do not promote upward mobility and personal wealth-building.
Lack of a path forward has been defined as a way of suffocation by segregation, discrimination, redlining, and corruption of large federal funds being stolen systemically successfulLY by the elected-appointed-hired-and donor for hire government representatives, lobbyists, chamber of commerce, i.e., Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce, and regional monopolies. i.e, Milwaukee 7 and SEWRPC (Southeastern WI Regional Planning Commission).
Visit Milwaukee represents an outlier group of majority Caucasians - outside of the 15 districts, that have come together with stripping the coffers with lobbyists sent and/or put in space-appointed positions to do the will of the Caucasian power-grabbers.
Visit Milwaukee has a Board tally of 30 folks - to light (lack credentials of Milwaukeeans at the census tract level) and Caucasian/White.
Visit Milwaukee has chosen Dr. Eve Hall - African American face, to be its next chair for 1 year.
Dr. Eve Hall has a "credibility problem". She is NOT in Good Standing.
She should not have a credibility problem.
And, with many, she is A-OK.
Her ascension to sit at the table with Caucasians of rank has been bought and paid for - at the very least, that is the way it appears.
Yes. Dr. Hall is known in the Milwaukee high roller audiences. She has come a long way since struggling and infighting on Capitol Drive as the leader of an African American business group.
As a matter of fact, her tenure goes to downtown high rent district, then out at the Milw Yacht Club for hobnobbing, up in Madison with the WI Board of Regents, to Caucasian BMO CEO, WE Energies CEO, and the like at the major fundraiser, the Black & White Ball.
The problem here is the bootlegging that is going on under and around the prestigious name of the National Urban League. In other words, Dr. Hall can not use her Black Face and the National Urban League for support of the Wisconsin Center Districts' robbing the coffers of $Millions to renovate the building, hire major contractors - Chicago and elsewhere.
Or, building mega funding for the many projects that Peggy Williams-Smith, Visit Milwaukee - President and CEO as well as the gang around the table have planned - planned without African Americans from the 15 districts at the decision-making table during Hall's 1-year tenure.
Listen up. Whitney Young, Vernon Jordon, Marc Morial, and so many others stayed up late and got up early for African Americans to gain "equity inclusion". Marc Morial is fighting now with Rev. William Barber - The Poor People's Repairers of the Breach, Rev. Al Sharpton - National Acton Network, and Rev. Jesse Jackson - The Rainbow Coalition for our RIGHT TO VOTE and the JOHN LEWIS Act.
It is up to you, Dr. Eva Hall,
to MAKE SURE what I have said about Visit Milwaukee - 29 members, Bucks, Peter Feigin, Tom Barrett, David Crowley and Common Council are not thinking they do not have to SHOW AND TELL of their worthiness of sitting at a table to promote TOURISM in/for the city of Milwaukee.
WHO ARE THE PEOPLE OF COLOR THAT AUTHORIZED VISIT MILWAUKEE AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD LEVEL?
For the length of time you remain in this position, we will make sure You KNOW what time it is. This is the first installment.
