MILWAUKEE COUNTY || County Executive - Get to know
                 DAVID CROWLEY.

This is a SPECIAL TIME of change, opportunity, and Inclusiveness.

We want a pragmatic and hands-on County Executive that RESPECT all his constituents with a passion and know he must be transparent and accountable in his delivery of services to the People of Milwaukee County.

Chris Abele
We have yet to know why Chris Abele, all-of-a-sudden, announced on October 16, 2019 (after saying he was running), he was no longer a candidate for the 2020 "Run for County Executive".  He said he wanted more time with his 3 girls. Very suspicious.

His withdrawal allowed NEW BLOOD to enter the race.  They were David Crowley, Chris Larson, Brian Kennedy, Jim Sullivan, Theodore Lipscomb & Purnima Nath.

Abele's announcement was "Surprise 1".  It was soon followed by Surprise 2 of Brian Kennedy and Jim Sullivan removed from the ballot by a county judge due to improper signatures.

JIM SULLIVAN
Additionally, on January 24, 2020, two (2) candidates were removed from the ballot for running for Milwaukee County Executive.  They were Brian Kennedy (Glendale Mayor) and Jim Sullivan (Milwaukee County Director - Child Support Services).

The February 18, 2020 results left David Crowley and Chris Larson as the Milwaukee County Executive Spring candidates.

MEET DAVID CROWLEY
David Crowley said He sees the top two issues facing the county as a shortage of much-needed funding, and addressing racial inequities.

"It's no secret that one of the biggest issues facing Milwaukee County is a lack of resources. Every year we send more and more money to the state, yet the amount we get back continues to decrease," he told Patch.

"On day one, my administration will set out on a full-scale effort to remove our community from the top ten list of most segregated communities by the time I leave office. It isn't just the right thing to do, it is the only way to heal our divided community and move us forward, he said."

INCLUSION of a formidable  African American candidate who offers HOPE to those who see the need of a straight-forward, hands-on and roll-up his sleeve candidate with a commitment for changes in quality of life and economic development in Milwaukee County government with the city of Milwaukee, the county site, as one of the Smart Cities of Milwaukee county.

As a Millennial, 34 years old, his background includes academic study at UW-Milwaukee - Educational Policies and Common Studies and graduate of Bay View High School.  His first introduction to Milwaukee County government and Wisconsin Senate government was as an aide while working in the office of Milwaukee County Supervisor and Senator Nikiya Harris Dodd.

His introduction to political campaigns was as the African American state-wide organizer for US Senator Russ Feingold.
He is a product of Milwaukee, growing up in zip code 53206 and experienced first-hand with Enduring Concentrated Poverty and the ills of drug-impacted families.  He credits the Underground Railroad, a neighborhood organization, as his savior.

CHANGE -  Abele's Announcement, October 16, 2019.

Just as the announcement by Chris Abele was questionable, so are his RACIAL CLAIMS.  His actions do not support his statement of Inclusion - check his administration, neighborhood county partnerships, heads of departments; and, the extended delay and "lack-luster" of the OAAA/Office of African American Affairs led by Nicole Brookshire.

Abele's delays/PAUSE for years after Supervisor Khalif Rainey introduced the program for service delivery while with Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.  Chris Abele and Tom Barrett, mayor, of Milwaukee, delayed the program for years and PAUSED the Office of African American Affairs to be taken to the City of Milwaukee per the election of Alderman Khalif Rainey.
