"THANK YOU, Mr. Potts, Chairman of Center Street BID 39", said Mary Glass, Chief Visionary Officer, Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC.
HE has launched leadership and stewardship that demands "ALL HANDS ON DECK". Right now!
I like his honesty and temperament that he starts with the REMOVAL of the BRAND (HIDTA - High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) to the area.
It is so important that we connect to the optics and names that exceed our goodwill and sincerity. We can work day and night-365/7days a week/24 hours each day but do not call for an area/neighborhood that respects itself, we defeat the cause.
We can call the shots that remove the problem without throwing the baby out with the bath water. It is also important that the tag "high drug-trafficking neighborhoods" does not remain. It speaks negative volumes about the tens of thousand within Mr. Potts area and contiguous neighborhoods that ARE NOT TRUE.
It broad brush ALL and paints the picture of the dense population of African American stakeholders/taxpayers that is false.
We MUST go on record with Mr. Potts, property owner, business owner and BID 39 administrator, that we go to work (sometimes 2/3 jobs) every day to support ourselves and our families that have nothing to do with "drug use or trade".
We MUST Step Up and remove the status quo.
When we FAIL TO STAND UP in SOLIDARITY, it gives way to profiling, roughshoding/massive invasion of our homes by law enforcement disrespecting our civil-legal-human rights, pitting us against each other (confidential INFORMANTS) misrepresenting the truth and increasing incarceration.
Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC strongly suggest Chairman Potts, Executive Director Jennifer Potts, and the Board add this to their Smart Growth Plan for their neighborhood/area.

We applaud Chairman Potts, Reggie Woodward, Vaun Mayes and supporters in the audience (included Alderman Russell Stamper, District 15) for kicking the campaign off.
NOW it is our turn to link-up with BID 39 to support in 100% engagement.
