Robert Battle
New York, NY - Before becoming Artistic Director on July 1, Robert Battle was already a major presence in the Ailey repertory, having choreographed works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, and The Ailey School since 1999.
Audiences around the world have been enraptured by his unique movement style and The New York Times has called his work "electrifying.” In honor of his new role.
